I went to Bubble Planet on the 7th of September for my husband’s birthday which was also Father’s Day. I had been looking forward to this outing for a while because I wanted to take my little one and the family after seeing other mums post about it on Facebook reels. It was a bright sunny day and we were all excited.
At first it was going well, but after three rooms, in the fourth room my little one fell and hit her head. She cried in pain. Thankfully there was no bleeding or serious injury but she was clearly in distress. We asked for help and to be honest I was shocked at how unprepared the staff were. The first aid kit was tiny and did not even have an ice pack. No incident report was filled out and the staff did not know how to speak to or comfort a child who was in pain. This is supposed to be a place for kids, so you would expect the staff to be trained for situations like this. Instead of showing compassion, it felt like they just wanted us to leave. Other customers around us were more caring than the employees.
We waited for a while hoping she might calm down and we could continue, but she was still upset and in pain. We decided it was best to leave and take her to urgent care. Before leaving we told the front desk what had happened and explained that we would return the following week. We gave them our names, four adults and one child, and they agreed.
When we came back on the 14th of September one of the adults in our group who had already paid for his ticket was unwell with a bad stomach ache and could not attend. We explained this when we arrived and made it clear we were not asking for a refund. We only asked that his ticket be secured so he could come another time. Instead of being understanding, the staff member was rude and raised his voice. I have honestly never experienced customer service like that in Australia. To brush us off, he told us to come back after the experience and there would be some option then.
After the experience, he was no longer there. Another manager spoke to us, but he looked disinterested and simply handed us a QR code for customer service. The QR code does not work. There is no email address or phone number available which makes it impossible to get proper support. A good business should not make it so hard for customers to reach them.
The sad part is that only the very beginning of our first visit was enjoyable. Everything after that has been disappointing. No one ever asked how my daughter was after her fall. That lack of care hurt more than the fall itself. In the past few weeks she has had accidents at other places, as toddlers do, and those businesses showed genuine kindness and support. The difference is huge and it makes Bubble Planet stand out for all the...
Read moreWe recently visited Bubble Planet Sydney and while it was certainly true to what is advertised—immersive, colourful, and creatively designed—it wasn’t quite the right fit for our young children. My 4-year-old found the experience a bit overwhelming, becoming upset in several of the rooms. Despite the fun, there are a lot of rules to follow, and staff are regularly reminding kids not to touch certain things, not to run, and to keep within designated areas. In that sense, I wouldn’t describe it as totally kid-friendly, especially for children under 5.
We also found it to be quite expensive for what it was. With the cost of tickets, and the fact that younger kids may not enjoy it fully, it’s worth considering whether another day out might bring more joy for less money.
One particular attraction—the large ball pit styled like a swimming pool—felt quite unsafe for small children. In our opinion, kids under 5 would need at least one adult closely supervising them inside it, which could mean needing to purchase extra tickets, adding further cost to an already pricey outing.
I want to be clear that this isn’t a negative review of Bubble Planet itself. It absolutely delivers what it promises in terms of visuals and atmosphere. But I feel a responsibility to share our experience so that other families can make an informed decision—especially if they’re considering this as a special school holiday treat. It’s an imaginative setup, but one that may be better suited to older children who are more comfortable with rules and stimulation-heavy environments.
Overall, it’s a beautiful exhibit—but for younger kids, it may be a bit too much. I am Giving two starts because myself and two other mum friends (with 4/5 year olds) all said we wouldn’t recommend to a friend overall. We got some cute photos though!
Also to add, our kids aren’t particularly sensitive to overstimulation or anything, just regular...
Read moreI feel extremely let down. The tiktoks and instagrams of this experience were definitely fake and overhyped. The rooms were mediocre, one of the enclosed spaces smelt horrible. Way too much people and children crowding, pushing and zero supervision. Most of the rooms had no staff stationed to assist or watch out for people pushing in + older children playing rough. Alot of things were damaged or running out. The bubble room was terrible, the bubbles wernt even working they were just dripping down the walls in big soapy clumps. The photoboots were all too busy, there was no staff members timing people to make sure it was fair, people were taking forever and not considerate of others waiting. The balloon room was chaotic, older children were running into our young children and pushing really hard and also jumping on balloons and popping them making it really loud and scary for little kids. There was a worker but she was on her phone ignoring it all. Also it was so expensive, cost me $90 for me and my 3 year old for bad quality rooms and poor experience. When we got to the end, the interactive games on screens were barely even working and the merchandise was insanely priced!!! $10 for one rubber duck is shocking. Would not recommend this. Needs more staffing in all stations to ensure fairness and safety. And all stations need cleaning and resetting before each time stamp, its not fair that we pay $90 to get a rough, messy and rundown looking experience...
