What was meant to be an enjoyable family night 8th October to celebrate a special occasion, was unfortunately ruined by on duty manager Ash who had the audacity to use her own personal issues with particular guests. NOTE TO ASHLEY: When it comes to personal matters not related to the actual event should be left outside of business not during what was actually a great night until you had guests removed because you felt superior and used your position of authority for your own gain. NEVER have we ever been to a venue and thus far been treated with absolute disgusting behaviour of management skills at a licensed venue. (Ash - Too busy looking at security cameras whilst a function was on, poor bar/wait staff were trying to make it all work from no plates for guests, not enough cutlery to empty buffet stations to no dessert served at the end WHICH WAS ALL PAID FOR) It is disappointing to provide 1 star when in actual fact the rest of the staff on duty, from Security, Waiters and Bar Staff were absolutely pleasant to deal with they have the meaning of being polite, FAIR and just pure amazing customer service which I can assure does not stem from manager on duty. Pretty upsetting for Locker Room to lose paying customers not only at the private bar but also throughout the entire venue which guests were also barred from an hour early from actual event was due to cease. Way to lose business and customers who had planned to book events in the coming months!
Here is some information for all to know - with multiple witnesses on Friday 7th October day before event - Ashley met with the host and extended friends/family of the host and in discussion for the event, in conversation personal information from Ashley indicated she is aware of particular guests that could possibly arrive and if they were to arrive she would keep it professional and not let it affect her and/or the guests if they arrived. Well weren't we fooled, as soon as guests walked through the door she ordered Security to have guests removed and yet the guests had no contact with Ashley at this point, at this stage Ashley had a conversation with the hosts sister explaining "make sure they don't look at me, don't come to the bar and don't stand where they're currently are cause i can see them" (bit sad isn't it to watch on camera guests having a good time, jealousy is a curse) and well we advised the guests to do so to keep this personal matter handled which they did adhere to, but to continue having Ashley order Security to speak to the host sister is very childish and immature, better yet for Ashley to discuss her personal issues further with the host sister about her personal situation is by far unprofessional, immature and clearly a vendetta she had out for the entire event to be ruined.
BE CAREFUL WHEN BOOKING A FUNCTION HERE, MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE FINER DETAILS OR BETTER YET BE CAREFUL IF MANAGEMENT HAVE A PERSONAL ISSUE WITH YOU THEY WILL DISREGARD YOU AS A PAYING CUSTOMER AND...

I had my wedding reception at The Locker Room and the process from start to finish was so easy and stress free, I loved every minute of it! My husband and I were running around all day searching for a last minute venue for our wedding reception in less than a week. Because we only had less than 3 weeks to plan our small intimate wedding, we went to a few different places and if you know Sydney, nothing is cheap .
Read moreWe had visited this place last week to watch the Cricket World Cup Semis between India & NZ. I’d specifically called the place and asked if they will be playing the match and tried to book the table. The phone operator clearly said that we won’t take booking for same day but you can visit directly as it’s empty. As we went there, there was basketball being played in the outside big screen and we went to check with the bar staff they came to change the channel to Cricket. However there were 3 elder men there, who started derogatory comments looking at us in our cricket team jerseys saying things like “who watches cricket?”, “go home and watch your team” and such comments. We didn’t respond however this group went to the bar management and to our dismay management prioritised a group of 3 over us and stopped playing cricket by giving the reason that majority wants basketball. We were 6 of us already there, and had a group of 12 more people coming in. Apart from that, there was nobody else who were watching the sport there.
When we went to speak with the bar staff, they asked us to speak to manager and when the manager started talking to us rudely saying you didn’t book a table, you have just 6 of you even when I said we have a bigger group coming in. He said I can play the match in a small TV inside or you can leave. It was an unsettling incident where it appeared that preferential treatment was given to a few individuals based on their nationality, neglecting and disrespecting others. This discriminatory behaviour towards me and my friends was unacceptable and deeply disappointing. Not sure if that small group were managers friend or so but it was purely a racist behaviours towards us the way he was speaking to us and showing us down.
The lack of consideration for our group's expectations and the evident discrimination raises serious concerns about the establishment's values and customer service. Such treatment does not align with basic principles of inclusivity and fairness. I hope the management addresses these issues promptly to ensure a more respectful and equitable experience for...
