Dirty Red is a local neighbourhood cafe located along Darling St at Rozelle. About 20 years ago when I worked in the area, this same cafe was an art gallery cafe, which was one of my favourite breakfast places to go. 20 years on, Dirty Red has transformed into a much bigger and relaxed space which offers indoor, covered outdoor and open courtyard seating areas. Right in the middle of the courtyard is a massive tall tree, which becomes the feature of the space with seating located around the perimeter walls.

The cafe is adult, kid and dog friendly. The menu offers an all day menu for breakfast, brunch and lunch, opened 7 days a week between 7am to 3pm. An interesting section on the menu is dedicated to dogs and you can order Puppaccino and blueberry & chickpea woofles for your buddy. I am not sure how nice the dog woofles taste, but the sweet house made waffles was delicious! Apart from their interesting food menu, their drinks menu also offers good variety such as espressos, filtered coffee, barista breakfast which consists of 3 brew methods, teas, juices, smoothies, soft drinks, wines, beers and a few cocktails.

Dirty Red is a great cafe to spend time with your family and friends. Whether you decide to go there for food or catchup over drinks, the menu has...

This venue provides a cozy indoor seating area, complemented by a spacious, pet-friendly courtyard with ample tables, making it a great spot for both solo visits and group outings. The ambiance is relaxed, with a mix of natural light and greenery enhancing the outdoor experience.

The Shrooms dish, elevated with the addition of crispy bacon, was an absolute treat – perfectly balanced in texture and taste. The Turkish eggs were a standout, bursting with rich flavors and a subtle hint of spice that added depth without overpowering the dish. Portions were generous, leaving us fully satisfied.

The coffee was another highlight, arriving quickly and crafted to perfection, with a smooth, well-rounded flavor that paired beautifully with the meals.

Service was exceptional, with the staff striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and giving diners their space. They were friendly, efficient, and happy to accommodate requests.

Whether you're looking for a quick coffee, a hearty brunch, or a pet-friendly spot to relax, this venue delivers...

My sisters and I visited Dirty Red Rozelle yesterday afternoon with two energetic kids, and we were so pleasantly surprised by how kid-friendly this place is. There was plenty of room for a pram, high chairs available, and an epic kids menu that impressed us all.

We were thrilled to finally find a spot that serves a great chai (hello actual tea leaves), and the food was absolutely delicious.

What stood out most, though, was the exceptional service. Every single staff member we encountered was warm and attentive. From our server who patiently listened to all our requests, to others who greeted us with genuine smiles and to the person who noticed my sister needed napkins without us even asking.

It’s the little things like this that make such a big difference. We left feeling so welcomed and cared for. I’ll be recommending this cafe to anyone looking for a great spot to...

Ate here for brunch on a school day. I ordered the breaky roll and added the hashbrown. Wow the hashbrown was big and home made. The ingredients listed for the breaky roll looked intreving. Individually they would be great however the crispy onion and kale didn't comprehend well with this dish. The other parties liked the double smashed burger and the Turkish eggs. The service was friendly and efficient. The staff were attentive and not over whelming with hovering. I would like to come back and try the cornbread dish
