The thrill of being in a jet boat on the water is great that's why the 3 stars. So it did not disappoint. It lost a star for living up to the hype. We didn't do enough brakes (only 1) and side stops (called something like that) 2 maybe 3 if the demo one counted at the start. Otherwise we just went fast around the harbour. As far as a thrill ride, it may have been better to get a water taxi across/around the harbour.
The $45 social media pack is a huge disappointment. Lost another star. The video had wrong time stamp on it which makes it look dodgy when your telling people you went in the morning and time stamp is late afternoon. The photos consisted of some great shots of the boat with lots of great white wash and spray around them on a glorious sunny day except those photos were not ours. They were professional marketing pictures. Given that's what's shown at and before purchase the expectation is i'd get something like with me and my son in it. The photos that were ours were frames taken from our video, the bulk of photos were literally looking like the the same picture as it was one frame after another from the video and additionally some pictures from a selfie stick they passed around at the end.
The 30 Minute Shark Attack Thrill Ride does not live up to the hype and for $203 for 1 adult and 1 child (including the social media pack as it stands), is not good value. A lot more effort could and should have been put into the social media pack (easy associative marketing when people get great pics they are going to share), instead it was slapped together and shoddy.
The focus is on getting the money and not adding value for the customer or providing an...
Read moreI have been on fast boat rides in the past but trust me nothing surpasses the thrills at Oz Jet Boat thrill ride. This is the mother of all thrill rides.
There is an initial undertaking each participant has to give in a written form , which is a good thing because you as a participating individual give your consent that you are fit to do the ride, there is a briefing given to all the participants and you are each given a poncho that you wear above your clothes and then head for a thrilling ride of a lifetime.
Your entire journey is captured on a gopro camera by the captain of the boat and they fly the country flag of the participants and play the music as per the country. It is a surreal experience.
As you ride fast the captain of the jet boat warns you by a sign that he informs you early on and then he hits the breaks and does a 360° and that is such a rush .
This ride lasts around 20 odd minutes and you get this adrenaline going through your veins and not only do you get the thrill you get the spray of water on your face and enjoy the Skyline of the Sydney Harbour.
This is a total recommended ride and worth the price. My group wanted to go for a second round but unfortunately this is to be booked in advance as there is a waiting line, book in advance on their website and don't be disappointed.

Read moreShould be 0 stars but there isn’t that option unfortunately. They literally gave me a fracture. The driver gave us all safety instructions to signal thumbs down to him when we did not feel ok, and i did that multiple times, and so did my friend next to me, but the driver actually looked at us and not only ignored but scoffed at us. The driver then drove the boat even more intensely and dangerously after scoffing at us. We were beyond shocked. I went to the emergency room immediately after the accident, x-ray showed a fracture. I asked them for compensation, to which they said ok but they deny any wrongdoing. They told me they investigated themselves and said they did no wrong, how very convenient! Even though there’s video footage evidence of me putting the thumbs down multiple times because they film all rides. They then sent me 40% of the total amount i spent on medical expenses (multiple follow up appointments, medicine, x-rays over the next 6 months and counting, because i still haven’t fully recovered), because they refuse to admit full fault. Just note that if you are hurt or die literally because of them, they’ll not give a damn even to be decent human beings with compassion and accountability. Their safety instructions are only lip service, they don’t care or even follow their own...
