I want to acknowledge the parking concierge who was working with the passengers disembarking from the Disney Wonder on 16/1/25, around 8.30am.
It was a hectic situation - extremely busy with hundreds of passengers and countless cars, plus it was a cold and windy morning with rain too, so everyone was seeking shelter. I was collecting my daughter who is a full-time wheelchair user and her travelling companion.
This man ensured that I could park and open the wheelchair ramp fully to safely load my daughter into the car. I was driving a large (gold coloured) passenger van.
I didn't ask for his name but he was in his 40s or 50s with grey hair, a slim build and he had an olive complexion. He was also wearing an orange coloured safety vest, not yellow. I would like to thank him for being so considerate of my daughter's needs. He and his colleagues did a fantastic job to keep the vehicles moving so that passengers could leave the terminal as quickly as possible.
The terminal loses a star due to lack of adequate signage to guide first time visitors to and from the terminal.
It was especially challenging in the rain as the environment became completely grey with nothing standing out, absolutely everything blended into one.
Adding the remaining distance to the existing signage would be appreciated and repainting the road markings would...
Read moreAwful location. Located on a relatively inaccessible area (from a public transport perspective) in what is basically an industrial area with zero appeal, hard to get to or from. The terminal itself has no appealing features or services with the exception of public restrooms. There are no local shops, scenic views, or anything in any way appealing. In fact the sooner that you depart from the area the better off you will be. For any non ship arranged transport options (Uber, Ola, Transfer Services, Taxis etc) are extremely confusing to locate your ride, as some of them don't (or aren't permitted to) pick up from the terminal front entrance. White Bay Cruise is a poor excuse for a Cruise Terminal for large Cruise Ships and has NONE of the very appealing positives of the other Cruise Terminal in...
Read moreThe ques were way too long, virtually the entire process from lining up and going through customs and security took pretty much at least 1 hour and aprox 30 mins if not more. The terminal itself was very hot with no air conditioning that we could feel. Not even bottled water was offered, as there were families with babies and little children. My observation was that elderly with walkers ect were not given priority. Myself being a first time cruiser was always a dream of departing and arriving from Circular Quay. At least the Circular Quay terminal is way more accessible and some shops near by for a quick snack and a cool drink or coffee. Overall, the entire staff from Carnival cruises certainly went above and beyond my expectations once on the ship we felt right at home, Thank you...
