Beautiful parkland overlooking Johnston Bay, the ANZAC bridge and overseas passenger terminal - especially if you get lucky to see a ship docked there as we did. Great large shaded playground for kiddies of all ages with sand area, swings and modern version of the old roundabout which is a rarity in playgrounds these days. A number of electric barbecues, grass areas, trees and ample bench seating scattered throughout make it a popular spot for families on weekends. Beautiful historical surrounds including original sandstone re-used from the area and huge rustic timber wharves. A perfect weekday spot if you can manage it. Read moreA park which overlooks Pirrama Park and Sydney Harbour on the cliff end of Point Street in Pyrmont. I think I have only been here a few times but I think that's something I should fix by going here more.
It has fantastic views of the harbour and of the Sydney Harbour Bridge which is good for picnics and watching the fireworks. There are a number of benches located around the park which are carved from sandstone which is a nice touch and something different compared with other places.

Security was good at taking away a safety knife I bought to cut cheese for my deli platter, but not at confiscating alcohol. Shameful. In front of me was a group of hooligans who were drinking and smoking, however it was quite fun when they were dancing and singing through the night.
