Erlebnisbad Mayrhofen im Zillertal — Attraction in Mayrhofen

Literally just left the place now as soon as arrived. Arrived at 7.30pm. The reception lady was smoking her cigarette outside and told me I could not pay for Sauna because she was scared I would not be leaving by 8.30pm and I just had 45mn and told me her story about the other guys that made her wait passed 8.30pm blabla. my understanding is that closing is at 8.30pm and I just wanted 20mn/30mn of Sauna after my day skiing. Very poor reception, very poor manner, very deceiving experience for my first time in Austria ...

Hello, thank you very much for your feedback, which is not regarding our offers and attractions, because you already left before entering. Nevertheless we want to refer to your experience. The time you arrived at our place was half an hour before we ask our guests to dress up as we close our place at 20:30. Therefore there were not 45 minutes left for using the sauna but only about 20 minutes (without dressing time). This is, what the receptionist told you. Therefore we feel sorry that you evaluate this as such a negative experience and rate us with only 1 star although you didnt even enter on a regular time and therefore didnt really experience our place. My response to this: again I pointed out the poor manner and communication of your staff if a customer just want 20mn of Sauna as I mentioned, what is the issue with this ?

advice: train your staff better with communication either charge extra for late stayer , or put clear policy of when is last entrance.

a customer is a customer, and I was not treated as such. Just an apology would have been enough thanks, it's not the first comment pointing out poor manner of your staff...

Invite me in and I will leave a honest review about the inside ;) So far I tried to pay and was not let in...

I honestly enjoyed it. I cannot share the many complaints from others I see here. After a good day of skiing this is an ideal place to relax and chill. Its located pretty central in Mayrhofen with free parking.

Its a medium sized public "amusement" pool. You can buy a ticket for min. 2h and add ons for the sauna area. I bought the 2h ticket for the pool only which is 12€ (pretty ok for me). I thought it was maintained alright, not the dirtiest but also not the cleanest/modern public pool. You might see a lot of families with kids in there. (Could get loud). But you can really relax, it has a whirlpool, some places to lie down in the water (with jets) and enough space to swim around a bit.

There are also 2 fun water slides which shouldn't be underestimated. These ain't some tame family slides but have some action going. The slides are operated on time schedules separately under supervision. The yellow slide is a wild one and might spin you around. The red one is pretty fast with sudden dips and fast changes of direction. If not sliding properly you might get hurt. Though they were one hell lot of fun.

Cant say anything about the outdoor area since its closed in winter

Went here end may25 with the family (two young kids 5 y/o) during the week, expecting a quiet and empty swimming pool. You can imagine my face of horror when we arrived and it was packed with kids.

Apparently they had swimming lessons, luckily the classes were organized and not screaming. We hardly even noticed that the kids went back to school after two hours.

The pool itself is wonderful with lots of fun stuff, such as a small kiddy section with a small slide. There are also two larger slides as you may have read in other reviews..

The yellow slide is supposed to go with a big tube, but now you go without them. So even though the slide is fun, it can get a bit awkward when you have to crocodile-crawl from one section to the other. But dangerous? Naah, the kids and I liked it.

The red slide is a bit controversial. If you go down in regular sit position it is a regular fun slide. But for some reason when I lay on my back the slide went into full turbo mode and things for insanely fast (and fun!) again: the kids and I loved this slide.
