Good circuit making for exciting racing. Just few points:
We paid 360 USD to sit next to each other, flying all the way from Singapore for this. So we were quite shocked to find out the seats were separated. When asked, the official started to laugh and suggested for us to sit on the stairs. We then brought it up with the volunteer, who simply said it’s not his fault. We understood that, just wanted to know how to resolve it. Luckily, we were sitting next to friendly race goers who suggested we go to the ticket resolution point, where we promptly given new tickets.
The insides of the track were not well connected, meaning you’d have to go out to access a different part.
We could not hear any commentary whatsoever, which was especially upsetting because the speakers were literally blocking our view of the track. They would also play annoying music when we’d want to hear the commentators do the race introduction.
Good crowd control and volunteers were very cheerful and helpful for...
Read moreLoved the Grand Prix weekend! The event itself is very well organized, the track is one of my favorites. About the multiple gates all around the track - if you don't have the ticket for this specific gate, they will not let you in the start, only if you already have the bracelet to go back in. The territory is VERY big, you could imagine how much i had to go to find the "right" gate. Volunteers are very sweet and helpful, they are everywhere, so you won't get lost at least. The website and ticket resolution stand were absolutely rude and helpless! When I bought the ticket on the website I had a row and seat assigned to me, imagine how frustrating it was to travel all the way to Baku and they tell you do bot have a seat. The people in ticket resolution were so fricking rude, like it was my problem that their website is glitching. As well as support of the website itself. Made my experience...
Read moreWhat a fantastic place to see visit and to watch the race. We had seats in the grandstand in the old town. It was not the easiest to get to but we had a great view. The toilets were not the best at our grandstand and on race day only one was open which meant long queues. Fantastic restaurants, pubs etc highly recommend the Shakespeare for a bit of late night rock and roll .We only went to the concert on the first night. It's a long walk from the bus drop into the crystal hall then no seats for F1 4day ticket holders. Even tho lots of seats available, A pain after a long day at the track. Taxi drivers consistently tried to overcharge. 50 manat for a 5 manat journey. Stick to the buses. Such a wonderful city with plenty to see . We used the funicular to get down to...
