Hello tourists.This is the prefered beaches of cariocas,IPANEMA beach and this spot,posto 9,a safe mariners and bathroom sign and 800 m distance each in our shore and downtown. It´s the most popular and crowded place in rio´s beaches.With one million people,mostly kids and few females tighted in one or two kilometers of sand and waters. Is really thight,you should come to check the crowds in weekends and vacations summers of rio,nowadays. We came for long time in búzios and lagos region.All here knows the name Búzios and lagos region,our prefered,mamny complaing ofm hanging late,few options,cool and guitar only during the day but rio is much crowded as you can see it. Beer cold can is costing her R$12/can,about.US$2/can. Futevoley and altinha was fastly forbiden,frescobol was forbiden since my time because of wood rackets. The waters here are always great,instead of far that can be cold.Can be dangerous even in summer though,just watch the tide,please! Stay around,don´t go far,only to cool and hanging spots. Here is the most fine and expensive stores and wanted from brazil also.Just like four blocks from the beach. Fine and expensive stores.

I've been to the Ipanema beach, wich was amazing. Post 9 is a good place to stay, better than post 8, but crowder than post 10. In general, it's a good place to stay, considering all kind of people that will be around you. Prices there it's like other parts of the Beach. But wacht out to not pay more If you are a tourist.
