Dont waste your money here, it's overpriced for the quality of the facility and services. On our last trip the key didn't work in the locker which meant before I even started I had to go get another key, only to find out that's a regular issue... then why assign faulty lockers! It was overbooked and way too many people were in the pools which meant there wasnt enough chairs or loungers to relax in. The spa then decided to manage this they would empty items off any loungers that a person wasnt on, so my husband and I left all of our items on one lounger while we went outside to the hot tub, by the time we cam back in our things were gone and someone else was on the lounger. No staff to be seen to advise what happened, it was a man next to us who said the same thing happened to him and where our things were. I still had to disturb the person on the lounger to find our sandals as those were not moved. You also couldn't fit more than a couple of people in the small pools because of the water falls so we basically stayed in the main pool then went to our own sides for the peace and quiet. The massage was excellent, the spa itself has gone down hill since being taken over. Their online booking system never works properly then they send snotty emails about cancelling a held appointment that I had already confirmed with someone else. When I complained they apologized and offered free entry to the spa next visit... considering I only go when I have a massage which provides free entry, that's not really offering me anything plus it doesnt address any of the issues above which are completely preventable. I've been going for a decade there and never experienced such poor service and overbooking like that. I wont be back. Do yourself a favor and go to the Meadows Spa in the Moose Hotel instead, it's beautiful, the service is excellent and its...
Read moreMy partner and I recently indulged in a couple's massage and spa experience, and I must say, it was truly exceptional. We opted to first enjoy the luxurious facilities, which proved to be a sublime two-hour escape. The pools, sauna, and steam room offered an oasis of tranquility, while I, being eight months pregnant, serenely floated in the temperate pool while my partner indulged in the full treatment cycle.
Our therapists, Michele and Joanna, surpassed all expectations with their six out of five-star massages. The treatment room itself exuded a soothing ambiance, and I was delighted to find that they easily accommodated my baby bump. We were also impressed with their selection of oils and ended up purchasing the exquisite neroli oil as a delightful take-home treat.
The spa excels in its attention to detail. From the refreshing flavored waters to the delectable tea and apples on offer, every aspect was catered to with the utmost care. The plush furnishings and first-class amenities further added to the overall luxurious atmosphere, while the massage tables were adorned with the fluffiest duvets I have ever experienced. Even the post-treatment ritual was a treat, with iced washcloths provided after our time in the whirlpool.
If I may offer one suggestion, it would be to provide a more size-inclusive selection of robes for all guests to fully embrace the spa experience.
In sum, our visit to this spa was an unforgettable journey that exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommended for those seeking a truly indulgent and...
Read moreThe facilities were nice. A few pools with waterfalls and a nice outdoor heated pool. They were under major renovations when we were there, which was disappointing. The stairs were closed so to move around the spa levels you had to cram into a tiny elevator that was often full and very slow.
The worst part of the experience was when we went up to the "coed lounge" after waiting five minutes for an elevator. The menu contained very little in the way of alcoholic beverages, and it was ordered room-service style over the phone, with each order costing a $6 delivery charge and an 18% auto-grat. I wanted some kind of warm alcoholic drink. I asked the front desk if that was possible and they said it was and just to ask the bartender when I called the order in. I asked if they had some kind of warm alcoholic drink. They suggested hot chocolate and Baileys. I agreed and half an hour later my hot chocolate and my girlfriend's wine showed up.
My hot chocolate was served in a paper cup and was half full. It cost $24. It was a hot chocolate with a single shot of Baileys. It was half full and it cost me TWENTY FOUR DOLLARS before tax, delivery fee and the auto-tip of 18%.
The $50 bill I had in my pocket was not enough to buy a 5oz glass of white wine and a hot chocolate with Baileys.
Anyways, the spa itself is nice, but to say I felt nickle-and-dimed is an understatement. Ripped off would be more accurate. I'm so glad I paid $89 for the privilege of being charged $30 for a...
