Read moreIt’s the worst day of 2025 so far. I tried to return an item at H&M, where we had an issue that they can't answer my return issue properly and professionally. The Manager of the store would call the security guards from Concord Security to kick me out of the store. While I was calling Customer Service to report the situation, I stepped away from her counter. Within five minutes, several security guards showed up. They surrounded me as if I were a thief or a murderer, which was entirely unnecessary and infuriating.
One of the female security guards, Harshit, claimed they were there to "balance both parties" and ensure peace, but her actions didn’t reflect that at all. She mentioned she worked for Metropolis, not H&M, and criticized me for not explaining the situation to her—while I was still on the phone with H&M’s Customer Service. Was I supposed to talk to both her and the Customer Service representative at the same time?
Her behavior was absurd and disrespectful. I pointed out how insulting it was to be surrounded by security guards while other customers watched the scene unfold. The entire situation was deeply embarrassing and humiliating. Harshit’s goal seemed to be to end the confrontation as quickly as possible, regardless of whether I was treated fairly. She eventually directed me to the Guest Center, which was equally unhelpful.
At the Guest Center, she lied, claiming the other two security guards were her managers or supervisors. When I asked to speak with them, she told them to leave. She insisted that the Guest Center staff could assist me, but they claimed they didn’t even know who Harshit was and said they couldn’t help either. This level of incompetence and unprofessionalism was astonishing.
This entire matter wasted 3 hours of my time. It’s completely unacceptable and not up to standard.
It’s clear to me that when some people lack the knowledge, professionalism, and customer service skills to handle a situation, they resort to accusing customers of harassment and escalating the issue unnecessarily, rather than taking...
