COBS Bread — Restaurant in Calgary

I went to Cobs Deerfoot City on April 5th 2025, around 5pm because my neighbour told me they had a deal on scones. I am not a regular shopper, I got introduced to their scones when I was house bound with a broken ankle. So I was not familiar with how their promotions work. I get there and the manager (Haley) flat out told me that there was not promotion (my neighbour was there in the morning), Keona was there too but I found out she is new but she was pleasant and wanted to help me but did not know how. Haley was rude and should not be in the service industry. In the end they didn't have enough scones to make an order for a dozen so I had to order for pick up the next day. Next day Katy was there with Keona this time and they were both a pleasure to deal with, then Katy did explain to me that if you buy 6 scones you get $2 something off :-) .. so Haley had not clue!! Shut out to Keona and Katy ......

We always loved cobbs and the attitude of people who worked there, until this past Saturday. Due to covid, it says on the door, only two people in the store at a time.I went in with my partner and was about to look what to order. Another lady walked in, the staff member ( redhead) who was present, instead of asking her to wait outside, demanded us to stand in the corner. We were shocked and disgusted and just went out with four bread rolls we never intended to buy. Might I suggest to the management to re train the staff if it is required. Specifically focus on, Not allow a third person to come in while there are two ALREADY in Train the staff to be pleasant and allow customers to make choices without asking them to...

We were so excited to receive a coupon in the mail. Not only to have a Cobs close by as we love the bread and pastries. But the coupons were for a free loaf of bread, or by 6 scones and receive a free loaf of bread.

We used two coupons and loved the Tin Vienna bread. We haven't tried the scones yet, but they look delicious. Good selection for scones: lemon blueberry, pumpkin spice, cinnamon, chocolate banana, chocolate, white chocolate berry.

The small is small, so they only allow 2 people in at a time. So high possibility you will need to line up outside. It took a while for us to get in as people were excited to see all the selection of bread and such.
