Fitness Unlimited Athletic Club — Attraction in City of Langley

I wanted to start exercising but had no idea where to start. I had never been to a gym before. Through my anxiety I e-mailed and received a prompt, kind response from Erika. She set me up with Jenn, a personal trainer, to assist me in my unconventional personal fitness goals. Jenn is incredibly understanding, kind, knowledgeable and authentic. I didn't expect to actually book sessions after speaking with someone because I was so anxious and felt so out of place in any gym, but after meeting Jenn I was comfortable with her and knew this would be a good thing for me to do and that I could do it with Jenn. And I'm so glad I did! She listens to understand and creates programs that are functional for her clients no matter what level of fitness they are at. She is motivating and caring. I have been going to Fitness Unlimited for the last year and all of the staff I have met have been incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The facility is large with a good selection of equipment. I invested in personal training and have been working with Alana this past year. I can definitely see the results and to me, the money invested is well worth it! Alana takes the time to ensure I understand the proper form and works with me so that I continue to be challenged and develop my skills. She puts together a program for me on the days I am not with her to help keep me on track. She is motivational, takes a genuine interest, and is open to questions. I have been able to achieve goals I never thought possible and my confidence has grown as well. I was a member at Fitness Unlimited Langley location. I moved and called the front desk to cancel my membership. She said she can't do it over the phone and I need to come in. I told her I had moved and wouldn't be able to. They kept charging me inspire of me calling them every month. Today when I called someone from administration told me that I have never called and that if I had then they would have cancelled it. I asked for the refund and she said she would not do that. Bad service.

PS- Yes, I did call and was told that membership can't be cancelled over the phone and that I will have to come in to cancel. Also, it is not polite for a business to call its patrons liar like you did. I have a right to write a honest review without being called a...
