This Hampton Inn is a great new option for business travelers visiting the area. The hotel is very conveniently located just off the highway (Everything in Edmonton is actually just off the highway) within walking distance of a few good restaurants and shops. Checking in was Hilton smooth and efficient, and the staff was friendly and helpful even at 2 am. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and laid out with all the thinkgs you want a good size desk, mini frig, 42 inch tv with more than 10 channels, and ergonomic chair that made working from the room comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. The bathroom was clean and modern. The free WiFi was fast enough for me. Most importantly, the rooms are DEAD quite. I knew someone was in the room on one side and across the hall, but I could hear nothing all night and day long. I usually avoid hotels with lots of families due to noisy halls and other noises, but in this case, it is absolutely not necessary. Seriously, this is amongst the quietest hotels I have ever stayed in. One extra nice amenity is the complimentary breakfast. In addition to the usual breakfast items like pastries, toast, cereal, and yogurt, they also had hot options like eggs, potato wedges, plus bacon, or sausage. The kids seemed to love the waffle station with all the extras . Whip cream, chocolate chips, stawberry syrup, and two types of batter. Not only is this a very convenient way for starting the work day, but it is easily a saving of $15 dollar breakfast plus the drive to Denny's. If I were staying with my family, I would be saving $60 on breakfast. This explains why this hotel is so popular with families. The fitness center was good size for 3 people but had everything needed for a quick cardio workout. The weight machines options could be improved, but everything is brand new as of September 2023. The indoor pool and hot tub were also a nice bonus of the Hampton Inn brand, especially for relaxing in the evenings during the weekdays but not on weekends. They have a kids' pool, and it can get noisy. The shared parking lot is plentiful and easy to access from the hotel entrance. This hotel shares a parking lot with the adjacent Courtyard Marriott, which has a similar level of quality and amenities. If Hampton was full, it would be a good backup option, knowing the sister property next door provides a comparable experience. Honestly, even if you are a Bonvoy member, like me, you should consider staying here even if it is a little more expensive and you plan on eating breakfast. Overall, I would recommend this new Hampton Inn for both business and leisure travelers. The convenient location, comfortable rooms, and extra nice complimentary breakfast make it a great value. It provides everything needed during a business trip at a fair price.

From frustrating incompetence to downright harmful, this confusing hotel has lingering effects. Pre-visit: booked a series of rooms for a group event MONTHS in advance so we could all be on the same floor. The number of guests and suites were all confirmed and I was assured a cot could fit in the room I booked for my family of 5. Received a message 1 week before the trip, surprise! Our room doesn’t fit a cot after all, and we need to move to a different floor AND pay an extra $40 for the upgraded room. Sure, your mistake, but we’ll pay for it. That’s the frustrating incompetence. During the stay: the lounge and breakfast are nice, the room is lovely, there are issues with other guests constantly playing hockey in the halls, but that’s not the hotel’s fault. The pool though… at least half of our group had stinging eyes and skin irritation from the chlorine levels. I’ve never had an issue with chlorinated pools, but this was another level. I tried a dip in the hot tub, and couldn’t last 5 minutes before having to go shower off. The stinging lasted for the rest of the evening. After the stay: It’s been 5 days since our time in the pool on the first evening. I didn’t go back in the second or third days. My wife and I have chemical burns on the backs of our hands. They are rough, dry and red like we’ve been sunburned, but without the peeling. The skin feels stretched tight and alternately numb and burning. Even my eyes are still occasionally itchy. If this doesn’t resolve in a week, I’m considering pursuing it further. I’m in my 30s! My skin didn’t look like this a week ago. Edit to add: Hampton Inn & Suites reached out to me to let me know that the matter was being looked into and that they are fixing things. I appreciate their ownership and response, and will be changing my 1 star review to 3. Also, my skin is back to normal now after 15 days.

We were here about two weeks for an event… most of the people were very nice but a few weren’t. The room service was a tad tricky because we were there so long. I think maybe it got confusing because we kept renewing. The first week went pretty well and they would check on us or get towels every other day. After that we had to chase someone down to get towels or toilet paper. At two weeks the room was getting kind of dirty and we had towels piling up. I took the trash out myself and kept that taken care of. Basically after two weeks we were ready to get out of there. With that said everything was fine. Room was nice enough, close to everything, and clean. Looked a little worn but not bad. All in all a great hotel and location. We walked most places within a mile and drive to the mall numerous times. I just feel for paying about two grand it could have been a little better service. At some point there was a whole bus load of kids and things got pretty bad. The pool was intolerable and kids running up and down the halls at all hours. We went somewhere without our dogs which is never a problem but all the kids stressed them out and they called us to let us know they were barking. Lots of hares outside the hotel so that was really cool, oh, and prairie dogs!

Excellent Hilton group property close to major tourist and shopping centers. Stayed 3 nights on our recent Edmonton trip.

Location. A few kilometers from West Edmonton Mall, our main reason to be in town. Not walking distance but a short 5 minute drive. Walmart, Mcdonalds, Pho restaurant, and many shops just across the block. Costco is 2 blocks away across a busy street.

Rooms. We got the King room. This had a comfortable cushy upholstered seat. Also a working desk and chair. Had a frig but no microwave oven. Plenty of drawers and a sliding door closet to store wardrobe. Housekeeping every other day. Room temperature digitally controlled in room with an electronic dial. Per front desk, only the temperature can be controlled in room. Fan speeds are preset; no on and off. Maintenance had to be called to change settings.

Staff. Superb staff: front desk, food service, and house staff. We needed extra towels and were quickly delivered. Bfast staff kept pace with flow of customers. Front desk responsive. I didn't get an upgrade for my status as non available but did get the gifting.

Breakfast. Typical Hampton fare of precooked hot items and plenty of cold/continental food choices. Juice machine had 4 selections. Busy time around 9 am. Opens early at 6 and closes at 10.

Bathroom. Big stand up/sliding door shower. Bath amenities of shampoo, gel, and lotion are all via dispenser. A separate bar of soap at the sink for face wash.

Others. There was an indoor swimming pool and fitness center. Parking lot was cleared of snow at least 1 day of the 3 days we were there. Ice machine on our floor a d filtered water available at the fitness center.

Well managed and well trained staff. Will definitely return again next time...
