Really disappointed with the experience we had here tonight. We went out for a family dinner at Match where the service was amazing. Unfortunately, I can't say the same thing for the older gentleman with the moustache, who is the "gatekeeper" to the casino floor. There is a way to talk to people. My wife and 2 year old daughter were just playing and looking at the colourful ceiling and wall lights in the common space corridor that goes to the washrooms and restaurants. He yelled at her "just keep her out of here and she better not end up on the casino floor" because my 2 year old touched the red ropes (no one in line btw) She's a 2 year who was excited to be exploring bud, and she never once went onto the casino floor. Any decent, rational person, can see that, but apparently, I still needed to explain that to this guy who was clearly power tripping, "She's 2 man, relax, she doesn't know what the red ropes mean" only to get "if she's ends up on the gaming floor, there's going to be big problems" when I asked "like what?", he threatened me with child services. Are you serious? I was pretty taken back with how ridiculous he was being. Definitely made us feel unsafe, unwelcome, and uncomfortable to the point we just left with the constant staring he was doing. This is the kind of person you have representing your establishment? Everyone else was totally fine, friendly, smiling, but for some reason, this guy had a big issue with.. a 2 year old playing. Well done, you're a...
Read moreSo I went to Cascades Casino for my friends 19th birthday. Around 3:30 we got off work and went to moxies, had a drink and left. We took a URIDE up to Cascades Casino and everything was great until we got inside. Since we had a single drink at our restaurant, half hour earlier, our breath smelled like beer. We were denied into tho Casino, even though we only had 1 beer each. My buddies and I showed our 2 pieces of identification and everything was okay until a worker told 1 of my buddies his breath smelled like beer. He proceeded to tell the lady we have just arrived from Moxies downtown and we had a single beer each before we arrived at the casino. She then called security because we were to “intoxicated” to enter even though it was our first beer of the day. 5 minutes later my buddies and I are talking to police officers outside about our “public intoxication” upon entering the building and how we are not aloud to play slots because we have had a single beer upon arrival. If I were to go to any casino to have a good time with friends this would be the last place I would think off. If you have read this far you should understand at this point to go to chances casino to have a fun and...
Read moreOnly there for the poker game, Texas no limit hold-em, so can't comment as to the rest. Staff were professional and friendly. Dealers know what they are doing and kept the game moving at a reasonable pace. Poker game itself was alright, 4 of the players at my table were of the I only play queens, kings and aces, but I'll mix it up with jacks once in a while to keep my table image loose, variety. Besides that there was a good mix of recreational players coming through the game. Could have used another server or two, but that seems to be the norm everywhere these days. My only complaint is that you can't order food in the casino, something too do with the cash register system in place, was the reason I got. Anyways to sum it up, Cleanliness -Casino 5/5 -Bathrooms 5/5 Food -match public house 5/5 Overall the casino feels modern and well maintained 5/5. Staff -friendly, professional and helpful but a bit hard to find at times 4/5. Smokers patio-clean, comfortable seating, nicely...
