Arigato Sushi — Restaurant in Kamloops

Terrible Terrible customer service, I had never had such bad service. I walked in to the reception area and wait for 5 mins still no server come and say anything to me they decided to walk by me so I decided to walk to dining area trying to find a server. A male server saw me walk in and he told me to go back and wait for reception area. I told him I am ordering to go I just need a menu and I turn around and back to the reception area with menu. While I was reading the menu 3 other customers show up and the same male server saw them and quickly serve them told me to move to the side where I was sitting for those 3 customers which by the way I was never in any other people’s way. After about 5 mins I decided what I want and I place my order to cashier / server? (little bigger set, short hair guy) and I walk by to the reception area and sit to wait for my order. The same server/cashier quickly walk towards me and told me to wait outside. I don’t know about you but it’s 30+ outside after all that I walk away from the place went to the other sushi restaurant name “Sushi **” did exact same thing I was doing at ARISHITTO but this time I got service right away and the server told me I can wait inside + a glass of water while I was waiting. I did there NEVER and NEVER in my life I will come back to this place. I am sure it’s not due to COVID-19 cuz both server are not wear mask and so neither those 3 customers and I am wear mask and there are about 10 customers in the restaurant at that time.

We have ordered large take out orders quite a few times now as well as dining in many times and the sushi is not only very delicious but always presented beautifully, rolls are very generous in size and unique unlike other places, and everything is fresh and colourful. Customer service is always friendly, quick, and attentive. The menu is the best most creative sushi menu in Kamloops. Arigato in Aberdeen is also very generous with their wasabi, pickled ginger, soy sauce and chopsticks. Easy parking. During a very busy Canada Day weekend we had glitches with our order. The owner, Mr Yu contacted me immediately and handled the situation very kindly and generously—all restaurants can make a mistake especially during busy times, and it is when they fix the issue right away with kindness and class that shows how professional and dedicated to great quality and service they are. I was highly impressed.

Already craving sushi again. Looking forward to yet another...
