Snap your fingers, here comes a truth, Kelowna Farmers Market, in its new booth, Not a cramped parking lot, oh no, we've moved past, Now we're sprawling, we're flying, we've found home at last.
Check this space, oh it's ace, every stall with its own place, From fresh greens to hot beans, it's a chase for your taste, With samosas that boast, make you float like a ghost, Shrimp Daddy’s declaring, "These deserve a toast!"
Vendors lined up like stars in a show, Each one a gem with a unique glow, Crafts, eats, and treats, watch the crowd as it flows, In a dance of delight from their heads to their toes.
And remember that day, old Asian guy sway, Atop Coit Tower before he did lay, Like him, we're dizzy with glee, in this market so free, New location, fresh sensation, come see, come be!
Five stars, throw 'em up, for a market reborn, From dawn's early light to the dimming of morn, Kelowna, you’ve nailed it, no more forlorn, In your market, we hustle, but it feels...
Read moreReally lame market. The fruit and veggies are good, some nice jewellery, art, fresh coffee and handmade bird houses and that is about it. You will spend more time parking than walking around this market based in a parking lot next to a busy road. If you are looking for a really great market go to Penticton. It is based in Main St with local stores, restaurants, food trucks and bars adding to the atmosphere. It is 5 times bigger than the Kelowna one and is not restricted to self grown or self made.
PRO'S; Good Fruit/Veg, nice Bird Houses.
CONS; In a parking lot, Restricted vendors, Nightmare Parking, Too Small...DULL.
SUGGESTIONS; Open up variety to include Global Wares, should be Downtown next to the lake, Outdoors (Parkinson is lame) Christmas Market with Mulled Wines etc
The vendors are being truly let down by whoever organises/manages this market. I have lived here for 13 years and absolutely nothing has...
Read moreVery disappointed in this market. We checked their website to see if it was dog friendly. There was no mention of no dogs allowed. So we drove 1.5 hours to get there, and were told our dog was not allowed after we had already walked half the market. We got some excuse that it was due to there being food at the market. We have been to markets across the province and this has never been the case. So we left the Kelowna market and went to penticton (which I'm pretty sure is in the same interior health area and would have the same regulations) was totally dog friendly. I would like to see where it says no dogs in the market from a health authority as most of the food vendors have food trucks. If I walked up to their truck on the street they would serve me with my dog standing beside me. I have a 23lbs mini Australian shepherd who does not make a sound or bother anyone so it's not like we were asked to leave because he was...
