I recently had the opportunity to visit the T&T Supermarket on Warden Avenue and was genuinely impressed by the wide variety of products, fresh produce, and helpful staff. While the store was slightly crowded during peak hours, the overall shopping experience was enjoyable and satisfying.
Product Selection: The T&T Supermarket on Warden Avenue boasts an impressive array of Asian groceries, including fresh produce, meats, seafood, dry goods, snacks, and ready-to-eat meals. As a fan of Asian cuisine, I appreciated the diverse selection of items catering to different Asian culinary traditions, such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Southeast Asian. The store also carries a variety of popular imported brands, making it a one-stop-shop for those seeking authentic ingredients for their favorite Asian dishes.
Freshness and Quality: One of the standout features of this T&T Supermarket location is the freshness and quality of its products. The produce section offers an extensive range of fruits and vegetables, many of which are difficult to find at other mainstream grocery stores. The meat and seafood sections are equally impressive, featuring an assortment of fresh and frozen items that cater to a wide range of culinary needs.
Bakery and Prepared Foods: T&T Supermarket on Warden Avenue also houses a bakery and a prepared foods section, offering an array of freshly baked goods and hot meals. I was particularly fond of the steamed buns and the sushi rolls, both of which were delicious and reasonably priced. The ready-to-eat meals are perfect for those seeking a quick and tasty lunch or dinner option.
Staff and Customer Service: The staff at this location were generally friendly and helpful, making my shopping experience more enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the products and were able to provide assistance in locating specific items. However, during peak hours, it was sometimes challenging to find an available staff member due to the store's busyness.
Crowdedness: The only notable drawback of the T&T Supermarket on Warden Avenue was the crowdedness during peak hours. The store's popularity can make shopping a bit challenging, with congested aisles and longer wait times at the checkout counters. To avoid this issue, I would recommend visiting during off-peak hours.
Final Thoughts: Overall, the T&T Supermarket on Warden Avenue offers a delightful shopping experience for those seeking a wide variety of Asian groceries, fresh produce, and prepared foods. The staff are helpful, and the store is well-stocked with authentic ingredients for a diverse range of Asian cuisines. Despite the crowdedness during peak hours, this supermarket is definitely worth a visit for anyone looking to explore the world of...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer of T&T Warden Steeles for many years and have always enjoyed my shopping experience, especially with the friendly and helpful staff in the fish and meat sections. However, my visit yesterday afternoon was appalling and deeply disappointing due to an incident in the bakery section.
During my visit with my two daughters, we approached the mango mochi booth in the bakery section, as my younger daughter loves them and I purchase them every week. The woman making the mochis, who was wearing glasses, displayed shockingly rude and discriminatory behavior. It was a mango mochi promotion and she had already finished making two mango mochis out of four. When I mentioned to my daughters out loud, "Let's wait till this box is done," she abruptly and rudely interrupted us, repeating, "No free taste." Despite clarifying out loud to her that we were not here for free tasting and intended to make a purchase, she continued to talk over me, repeating the same phrase in an aggravated and aggressive manner. Her dismissive and discriminatory attitude was not only unprofessional but deeply offensive, implying that we were "cheap customers."
What made it worse was her complete lack of eye contact during our entire interaction, which I suspect is because we were speaking in Mandarin. I can't help but wonder if she would have treated us the same way if we spoke English. Would she still think we were cheap Chinese customers? Moments later, I overheard her laughing and chatting with another employee, seemingly mocking us. This unprofessional behavior is unacceptable.
When I tried to address this with customer service, my complaint was brushed off. It was also clear that they would not bring this up with the management team. They refused to provide the manager's contact information, claiming the manager was on an "annual vacation." This lack of accountability and transparency is outrageous. How long is this vacation supposed to last? A year? The dismissive attitude of the customer service staff only added to the frustration. If issues like this are not addressed, it suggests that this type of corruption must occur daily in other departments and throughout the entire management of T&T. I feel bad for other customers who have experienced this type of incompetent management.
This incident has severely tarnished my view of T&T Warden Steeles. While I have always appreciated the service in other departments, this experience has left me deeply disappointed. The unprofessional and discriminatory behavior in the bakery, coupled with the corrupt and dismissive customer service, is...
Read moreThe women at customer service need to be more educated. Nevertheless, wanted to thank a cashier named Vicky. I forgot my wallet when checking out and she gave it to the customer service. After leaving the store, I realized my wallet was left there so I went back right away. I went to Vicky first and she told me she handed it to the customer service.
So I went to customer service, and the first woman I talked to was very suspicious against me ( later I knew her name is Zoey). Then i told her the colour, brand name and my name, but she still wasn't happy, telling me that ANYONE could come to her and (falsely)claim for a wallet. I told her that she didnt need to be so suspicious. She started to be very aggressive and talking nonsense. I didn't wanna argue with her so I thanked her and was going to leave. But she still couldn't stop. When I asked her name she left and still didn't forget to yelled at me as "好心没好报“. It was funny that she wasn't the person who found my wallet and she just passed it to me with lots of attitude and doubts. Then I asked the other customer service woman about her name, she refused me and rudely said "wait!". I didn't see this woman's name and she might have dyed hair, and is younger than the other woman named Ashely. I then talked to Ashley, she was very defensive of Zoey and said what she did was right. She also tried to lecture me. She also told me that there are lost of wallets with the same colour and brand(kate spade). Then I asked her, with the same owner's name as well?(I have my ID in my wallet). She couldn't answer. I told Her if it was the case, she can go buy a lottery. At the beginning she didn't want to tell me Zoey's name, after I asked again, she finally told me the suspicious woman's name is "Zoey" I then left the store and then went back immediately cause I forgot to thank Vicky who was nice and honest. So when I was there thanking Vicky , I saw the first woman who refused to give me Zoey's name was looking at me with a very dirty look and chit chat to Ashley.
T and T at this location needs to find customer service representatives with better education and at least, with some manners and respect. This happened around 7:40pm on...
