Newmarket Farmers Market — Attraction in Newmarket

I come here most weekends even though I reside in the Markham area. I would give it 5 stars however I am seeing more booths that are just reselling products at a higher price. A number of stalls I definitely recommend supporting is Dudek farms (fantastic herbs and produce), Creation farms (awesome produce, run by a couple that are extremely knowledgeable in produce), Zephyr wild foods (he forages and finds the most unique and delicious produce), MG Bees Honesty (DELICIOUS honey) and Forty4 farms (fantastic breakfast radishes and super nice guys). Vibe is too rude and arrogant; no EQ. Vibration is too low. How can they grow high vibrational greens with such attitudes. prices r too high, and out-of-blue-made. It turns down the idea of supporting farmers. U may feel like that what is happening to the farms and farmers is well-deserved. This is why majority r shopping at monopolies. This market is very repellent. Although their behaviour is understandable. Plus, is it normal that u r not allowed to touch the vegetable u want to buy? Is it normal to raise ur voice and lashing customers with low level words to not to touch their products? Which kind of attitude it is? Too...

The farmers market itself is really nice. Great atmosphere, lots of vendors. Some vendors got really good products and value. I rate this 3 stars because one of the vendors, Farm Girl Kitchen was selling these beef burger patties for $16 for 8. I thought not bad if it’s locally sourced and prepared on their own. Came home, saw the bottom of the package, they bought it off Windcrest Meatpackers at Port Perry for $2.07 a pack! What a rip off! And didn’t even bother taking the sticker off. I feel a bit cheated and disappointed. They told me there are no fillers no seasoning etc…I...
