September 26 2024. i went to sephora on 7555 montrose road niagara falls canada. the workers were terrible and weird. they didnāt greet me, my boyfriend and my sister, there was also barely anyone else in the store. i went in to get my freebie gift for my birthday (my actual birthday is the 13th but they ran out of freebies when i went on my actual birthday so they told me to come back during my birth month) my sister had brought some gift card for sephora that she was going to spend and so we were looking at some lip products for about 15-20 minutes. be mindful, shopping is different for every person and my sister is picky for what she spends her money on therefore she was taking a little bit longer than usual to pick what she wanted since it was so expensive. 2 workers with black hair and glasses the other one older and had a brown ish bob cut. they stood right beside us talking about the most random things. for example talking about colours of products for no reason right beside us. another different lady was just facing us pretending to be on her phone but was probably actually watching us. this made me uncomfortable and weird because i have touched one product and all of the sudden iām being followed by employees. we walked to a different second of makeup so my sister could find a mirror and the same 2 workers that were beside us followed us behind the aisle behind us and was just talking about stuff again . we went to the drunk elephant aisle and someone else was there again. me, my boyfriend and my sister left the second after that and i have some recordings too of them just being where we were the whole time! we walked out and was ready to leave, but as i got in my car the worker that was following us, took off their work gear and held a sephora bag and acted like a costumer and went in the pet store next door. we waited in my car for 10 minutes realizing that she probably went through the back, back into sephora because she never came out. as we backed out of the parking lot, ANOTHER lady with red hair which ALSO changed her clothes and looked like she had her phone pointed towards me / my car and family. we drove away because i was not trying to deal with more problems when i was already upset enough. it honestly felt a little like they were racial profiling us because everyone in there was white except for me and my sister (we are asian) . my boyfriend who is white has been in that sephora with his white girl - friends and they had never happened to them. iām so upset i had a bad experience with this place because i come here all the time and now i have to go to a different sephora in the town over. they absolutely ruined my experience there and i will not be going back to the one on montrose road ever again in my life. that place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent in for a full glam for my birthday and I was kinda just expecting like an extravagant birthday look when I called to inquire about the the difference from the full face to the ultimate glam looks the lady on the phone basically was like full face make up isn't an option and that if I want something nice then I have to go with ultimate glam because the artist can't do much in 60 minutes she also said if i want lashes that the ultimate glam will come with lashes so I decided to go with the ultimate glam look, when I got there I showed up a few minutes early just to give the make up artist time to set up just in case they were in between clients but I waiting around for a few minutes and didn't see anyone at the make up station so I decided to go inquire with a worker, I was told that the make up artist was on break and would be back shortly she showed up about 10 minutes later and didn't acknowledge me at all just walked past me .. I kinda just stood quietly and awkwardly behind her staring at the makeup samples until we made eye contact and then she said are you here for the appointment. I sat in the chair while she took a skin color test on her device which was not working and took 6 scans to get my cheek color when she went to get the foundation she came back with 3 bottles and not one of them where there right color so she had to go and get 3 different colors when applying the make up her hands where freezing she apologize and said that there back room had no heating.. the store was fairly cold, I kept my jacket on the whole time, I kinda felt bad and wasn't going to leave a review because kira was very nice and seemed very nervous about applying the make up and even at one point said she was nervous about the eyeliner so i thought maybe she was new but once I was told the price, I was not very happy, like I said the lady on the phone said lashes were included and then Kira said they were extra but the total was 140 not including tip and we finished about 20 minutes early. . The make looked worse then i usually do it unfortunately not a good experience and will not be going back š

On the day of her graduation, she arrived at the store with our mother at the scheduled time, only to be told there was no record of the appointment. Despite showing proof, the staff was dismissive, and the makeup artist refused to accommodate her. Thankfully, one of the brow bar employees tried to step in and help the only person. My sisterās day was ruined.
As someone who has worked in retail, I was shocked by the lack of professionalism. Customer experience should always be a priority, especially during such important life moments. The manager was unhelpful and responded with, āI donāt know,ā offering no solutions.
To make matters worse, the makeup application was poorly done mascara was smudged all over her lower lash line. Eventually, we were even asked to leave the store, which was incredibly disrespectful and humiliating.
A simple confirmation or reminder message the day before would have helped us avoid this situation. This experience showed a complete disregard for customers it felt like we were not valued at all.
Please think twice before booking a service here. Sephora needs to seriously re-evaluate how it treats its clients. It mentally disturbed my sister as well. Please think before ruining someoneās big day which they are super...
