I love going to Lonsdale Quay. It is a beautiful day to go for a stroll and for a bite to eat as well as show up at a very interesting market. The view of Vancouver is pretty, and along the fence line, you can put a lock, maybe as a couple or an individual, to leave your legacy and show your love for someone else. The fence must be ready to tip over LOL, but it's great!
I often go over just to sit and listen to the wonderful sounds in the air. Children playing, people laughing and enjoying themselves and having a great time I just love to go there and relax, especially if I'm stressed out.
I actually was the foreman of Retro-fit of the North Shore Sea Bus Terminal when they did the renovation. Every time I go there I get to see my work which will be there for generations, and one day my daughter will be able to go there when I'm long gone and know that her daddy put in every frame and piece of glass in that place at the sea bus terminal as well as built the command center. So it's a Sentimental place for me. The staff in the mall there are very friendly, and it has a totally different vibe from anywhere else in the Lower Mainland.
It's like a place where you can go and feel free as well as look and purchase different cultural items. Some of them are handmade. I especially enjoy the First Nation store and recommend the leather belts. They are around $40 and have beautiful carved inscriptions of First Nation art, and I still have mine roughly 8 years later. Very great place to take your family or to take in when you just want...
Read moreDO NOT PARK HERE! Easy Park is there parking vendor. The Customer Service is appalling. I parked my car at the Lonsdale Quay lower level, a location I frequent often, and tried to pay for parking. I noticed that the payment kiosks had been changed to Easy Park and I attempted to pay for my parking using the tap feature. It failed. I tried tapping my credit card, it failed. My friend used her card and the processor looked like it was going through so we walked away. Upon returning 30 minutes later I had a $79 parking ticket. I reached out to their Customer Service and appealed the ticket. It was obvious that something was wrong with the kiosk. After several days they responded that customers are responsible for having a back-up method of payment, such as their App.(even though I could not have known that the parking vendor and the kiosks were recently replaced). I informed them that it was not possible to download an App in that garage as there is never an internet or phone signal. It took almost a month to get a response to the appeal and they repeated the same thing. Today, I logged on to their website, having accepted that they were not going to credit the ticket only to find out they have added penalties and the ticket cost is now $124. So the upshot is that even though the intent and attempts to pay were made, they chose to penalize, twice! Exasperated in North Vancouver and sadly the Quay has lost my...
