Update
Response to Rocky Point Ice Cream:
Thank you for your response. I noticed there wasnât an email included for follow-up, which made it difficult to share the details you asked for.
Whatâs been most disappointing is that the issue wasnât addressed at the time, and your reply didnât offer any way to make it right after the fact. Thatâs whatâs left me feeling unresolved.
That said, Iâm open to updating my review. I understand that off days happen. But a sincere effort to address the situation would help restore the trust Iâve built with your shop over the years.
Very disappointed with todayâs visit (July 26, 2025).
Weâve been loyal customers here since 2020 and have always come by for doggy conesâusually even when the place is super busy. But today, despite it being a cooler day (only 22°C) and surprisingly quiet with no line inside or out, the service and product were unacceptable.
When I was handed the doggy cone, I immediately noticed it was melting. I mentioned it to the staff member and said, âUmm, I think itâs melting.â She just shrugged and replied, âItâs like that.â A moment later, the cookie on top slid off from the melting ice cream. I caught it and stuck it back on, commenting that it never used to be like this in the past. Her response? âI donât know. Anything else I can get for you?â
I asked for more napkins, still pointing out that it was melting badly. Only then did another employee chime in, âGive her a cup.â I was completely speechless. If I wanted a cup, I wouldnât have ordered a coneâespecially not for the dogs. Why wasnât a fresh one made offered instead?
At first, I thought maybe the staff were new summer hires, but it was clear that even the second employee wasnât much more helpful. By the time I walked out to give the cones to my dogs, the ice cream had already melted all over my hands. Not only that, the portions were noticeably smaller than usualâhalf the size of what we normally get. The pictures I took say it all.
I left feeling frustrated and let down. This isnât the quality or service weâve come to...
Read moreIndulge your sweet tooth at Rocky Point Ice Cream in Port Moody, a charming destination that will satisfy all of your cravings. I recently had the pleasure of exploring their array of popular flavors and it was a truly delightful experience.
One standout flavor that I absolutely adored was the strawberry ice cream. Its velvety smoothness and creamy texture were unmatched, perfectly complementing the natural sweetness of the strawberries. Each bite was refreshingly delicious and provided the perfect treat on a warm day.
For the younger crowd, the cotton candy ice cream was an absolute hit. Its vibrant colors and fluffy, sweet taste brought back fond memories of carnival days and indulging in this classic treat. It truly pleases the senses and brings joy with every bite.
Another fantastic option at Rocky Point Ice Cream is their combination of salty caramel and vanilla. The rich and velvety caramel perfectly balances the subtle sweetness of the vanilla, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. This choice is ideal for those seeking a more traditional ice cream experience that satisfies every craving.
When it comes to pricing, Rocky Point Ice Cream offers reasonable rates for their high-quality products. And let's not forget about the portion sizes â they are incredibly generous, ensuring that you truly get your money's worth.
However, it's worth noting that seating options are limited at Rocky Point Ice Cream. There are no seats available inside the shop, but they do have a standing bar where you can enjoy your treats. While it may not offer the most comfortable dining experience, the incredible taste of their ice cream more than makes up for it.
In conclusion, Rocky Point Ice Cream is a haven for ice cream enthusiasts seeking a delectable escape. With a wide range of flavors to choose from, including the delightful strawberry, crowd-pleasing cotton candy, and the classic combination of salty caramel and vanilla, there is something to satisfy every palate. While the lack of seating may be a slight drawback, the reasonable prices and incredible taste make it well...
Read moreReally cute place in the middle of Rocky Point. Visited in the end of April. Thankfully right when we got there we only had a handful of people in front of us. Literally 2-3 minutes later we looked back and there was over 20+ people us. This place stays packed!
There are sooooo many options of ice cream and a lot of employees to help you. There was even ice cream options for the little pups! So cute!
It was definitely an enjoyable first experience, but very chaotic as well. The staff is doing such a great job trying to help as many people as they can at the same time, but for a first timer that was also really inconvenient. I couldnât see all the ice cream options, because so many people were starving in front of all the ice creams. I felt most people just started at the first section of ice cream and ordered from there, but maybe they are regulars and know the ice cream flavors. Since it was my first time and I was visiting, I wanted to check it all out and soak in ask the options. I felt I couldnât really do that with how chaotic and busy the place stays. They need to incorporate a bell or something to get the attention of the customers in line. Since itâs busy it stays pretty loud, so when they call ânextâ the customer doesnât hear them.
We ordered 3 scoops and paid the small amount for an extra cup, it was worth it and a really good deal for us. Better trick for families especially with kids or adults that want to eat from a cup - order an additional scoop and make sure that one is on top so you can transfer it to a cup :).
Regardless of all the chaos, the person who helped us was so sweet and I didnât feel rushed. I really appreciated that because it was so busy. She answered all our questions and let me sample quite a few. Thank you so much to whoever it was!! I wish I knew her name, she was great. We enjoyed our ice cream and the flavors, it was rich and creamy. We would definitely visit again and recommend it...
