UPDATE (changing my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars): I came back for a follow up appointment (my third visit to this clinic) and told front desk I had an appointment and was directed straight away to one of the patient rooms. After 5 minutes, the doctor came to see me and a staff member took my blood pressure. I am pleased as I saw they have increased staff and the doctor (Dr. Minnis) confirmed they indeed had a second doctor at the clinic now.
This is a busy clinic and I sympathize with the staff and doctors. I had a positive experience with my intake and wait time today with appointment and I am very grateful the clinic has taken this feedback and truly listened and improved. Thank you, Albion Health team.
āāāoriginal review: Iāve been twice now. Both times on Saturdays. The first time I walked in, and had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes before I could see the doctor. The second time, I had an appointment, and was one minute early, and while I was directed to the patient room immediately, I proceeded to wait exactly one hour before the doctor entered the room to see me. As I quietly waited in the patient room, I saw patients who arrived after me, come and go after seeing the doctor.
I respect the doctor and I know this is not the fault of the doctor. He is the only doctor for this clinic, so I understand how busy he is. He is also very kind and knowledgeable. When I gently remarked that I had to wait a similar length of time (1 hour) for my appointment as when coming to the clinic without an appointment (walk-in), he apologized saying things will get better as they have plans to add a second doctor, and that the clinic should have prioritized my appointment over the other patients.
I find this is likely the fault of the front desk staff, whom manage the logistics and order of which the doctor sees patients. Despite having an appointment, I was not seen till exactly one hour after my scheduled appointment by the doctor when many other patients, without appointments, were seen ahead of me, some even arriving after me at the clinic.
This is unfair and unjust, but I am hopeful of the doctorās words that it will get better so I will see in my future appointment if things improve after the addition of a second doctor and will update my review...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am an international student and recently visited this walk-in clinic for my sickness. Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience. I needed my medical records to submit to my insurance company in order to claim my expenses. I called the clinic multiple times, visited in person, and even sent emails, but they have not provided me with the required medical documents. Without their cooperation, I am unable to process my insurance claim, which has caused me a lot of stress and financial difficulty.
This lack of support and unresponsiveness is very disappointing. Based on my experience, I do not recommend visiting this clinic, especially for international students who may need proper documentation for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you dare to contact this clinic, just know you're going to be put on hold automatically and they will blare this loud obnoxious orchestral tune (Can-Can if you're familiar) on repeat for an indefinite but surely excruciatingly long period of time before you can even speak to an operator. And when you inevitably hang up and try again, you will surprisingly immediately connect to an operator who will talk no longer than a minute before suddenly hanging up on you mid-sentence. And then you will try again and get connected to a different operator, who will tell you that this is one of those clinics where nothing is covered by OHIP. This entire experience will take 30 minutes off your lifespan....
