My colleagues and I were charged twice for a tee time. I called to get that resolved where the manager was complaining in the background that I was trying to rip them off. Yes, I did not have a receipt, as I lost it. However, I was able to show them my credit card transaction + booking number. On the phone they gave all kinds of excuses, like my booking wasn’t found. The manager finally called me back to issue a refund. He said if this didn’t work, I would have to come in person to do this. I came back a week later as the refund still didn’t appear. The same manager said he wouldn’t issue another refund, if a few more weeks pass, then he would give me a free round. I will NEVER golf here again. I was using the driving range there at least 3x a week, will go elsewhere now. The manager was the worst, giving me a look like I was trying to rip them off for $50.00.
Again, the refund did not go through at all via Centennial Golf. I called my credit card company to dispute this and it was finally resolved through my credit card company
I just wanted to say that neither I nor my colleagues will return to Centennial for golf again. The manager and the rest of the staff are NOT friendly at all. The manager simply pushed back and did NOTHING to compensate for my time. Could have at least given me a free pull cart yesterday, as I was there to golf. We were even forced to rent a second set of clubs, as my colleague did not have his own clubs. While I understand that it is a rule, and no walking is allowed on the golf course. Something should have been done to accommodate me.
This matter was never resolved and I had to...
Read moreI’ve lived in the area for more than 20 years and visited the range here and there. Of all the years, I have never experienced such rude and inconsiderate situations with the staff. There is a particular staff member which I will not name names but he is well known to stir up trouble. My buddy was accused of “teaching” me when he’s not even a teaching pro. A staff member approached him (not the first time apparently) and kept accusing him of teaching his friends and now me. Got so out of hand the staff guy told us to get off the property because we were trespassing even though we bought buckets of balls to hit later. Are we supposed to stay quiet during our swing time? Why can’t friends help each other with tips? Is it as long as we aren't paying them? Take note, this was my friend and not a golf pro trying to teach me. Also, I know how to swing/ hit. Honestly, I have to say I am from Oriental descent and my race seemed like it played a huge factor on the accusations using the property as a teaching ground which was definitely not the case. There were so many other players practicing and looked like helping their friends but out of all of them WE were accused of this nonsense. This threw my mood and swing off for the day. So annoyed, woke up early too. I hope something is being done to prevent this from happening again as I like to come back but don’t want to...
Read moreThe course is well maintained with superb greens. Its practice area is ok, not great, but not bad. Its driving range use to have half the section mats, and half grass. Now it is all mats. I understand the grass gets chewed up, but it's hard to evaluate your practice session when you can't see your divots etc. I remember a time they had this huge net that divided the mats from the grass to keep all safe. The rubber tees are high, which is fine for my driver. But its actually impossible to practice your fairway woods off these tees.
The chipping area is fantastic. Big and spacious with lots of different lies. It even has a bunker, although it be nice if it had a little more sand in it. However, it is the only practice facility I know of that has a bunker in the GTA. I'm probably wrong, and please feel free to correct me, as I would like to know where I could go.
Finally, the putting green. Very nice, and lots of room for many to practice. However, why oh why is there no holes?? I see these sticks stuck in the green acting I guess as targets. This is a trend I see at many courses around Toronto. It really aggravates me as I need to see balls going in the hole to measure speed of putts.
Overall, great job at the course. With a few improvements, it would be a 5...
