I recently visited DeSerres Uptown to purchase materials for a deeply personal project, and my experience was made exceptional by Natasha, one of the sales associates. From the moment i approached her to ask for her help, Natasha’s kindness and genuine interest immediately eased my nerves about sharing details of my project. She gently asked questions to understand my vision and offered thoughtful recommendations tailored to my needs. Her demeanor was warm and supportive, instilling confidence in me without even knowing how much her approach mattered.
Natasha went above and beyond, walking with me through the store to find exactly what I needed. She even helped by taking the items up to the cash register while ensuring they were protected from potential damage. Noticing a long queue at checkout, Natasha promptly opened a second cash register without being asked, helping to reduce wait times for all customers. When it was my turn, she carefully processed my items, securely packaged them to protect against the rain, and sent me on my way feeling valued and appreciated.
The only area I would recommend for improvement would be to expand the variety of all-natural products, such as hemp-based papers and other eco-friendly options. Otherwise, my experience was exceptional, largely thanks to Natasha. Associates like her are a true asset to your company, and I hope DeSerres continues to cultivate such outstanding customer service.
Thank you for helping make my project a little easier and a lot...
Read moreThe store has some good stuff. But I’m going to leave a review about their customer service, because by golly, was that an experience. (1) I was shouted at, yes, shouted at, by one employee for touching a computer that I mistakenly thought was for customers to find inventory in this overcrowded store; there was no polite “that’s only for customers, please don’t touch it” caution. No. There was a loud, “Do you work here” followed by an even louder “THEN DONT TOUCH IT”! (2) I was talked to in a condescending manner by another employee at the door who held a finger up and uttered “No” to me like I was a dog trying to enter a forbidden meat shop. Excuse me to trying to enter a store with its door open while taking all necessary covid precautions! Now, I don’t know if your employees are always rude or you just don’t care about your customers, but Understand that your customers are not your paid punching bags. You do not behave rudely to someone who’s come to your store to buy your stuff! I’m pretty sure you learn that in customer...
Read moreNEVER GOING TO THIS SAD PLACE AGAIN! Staff offers a tiny nudge aka the least amount of effort you can put in helping customers find the item they inquired to purchase. The manager just standing at the entrance telling people entering to use sanitizer is clearly very useful. I had come in with my own sanitizer because who wants to get sticky disgusting tequila goop they call sanitizer on your hands. But no this useless manager tries to tell me I MUST use THEIR sanitizer. As if a mislabeled, questionable liquid posted up on a pole is the cure. You most definitely CAN NOT force people to use your sanitizer even if you think you can. Your job as a manager standing in the front is a pathetic embarrassment. You need training or just to be let go, and or this little number she pulled, I will never return. And if I do it will be to egg the place so the manager can use her terrible goop liquid to clean it up. Only then will the manager make her...
