Humber Bay Shores Farmers' Market — Attraction in Toronto

A Great Farmers Market close to home with a Variety of Vendors. My typical round begins at the peameal sandwich station, they have a great option with egg + peameal to start your late morning. I then make my way to the cheese stands - there's one vendor with a great selection of goat cheese flavors, also don't miss the Cheese Boutique they have a great mix of cheese, cured sausages, pickles, bread etc. As I circle through the vendors I always end up restocking on the same items every week - my go to's are the homemade scones (try lavender flavor!), salsa and chips from Mad Mexican (be sure to go early before they run out), and italian sausage from the nonni stand (I don't know the name of them just that a grandfather makes all this cured meat - thats all they sell really & it's the best), there's the The Danish Pastry House which now has a store in Sherway Gardens (always get some treats here, try custard filled cinnamon roll and rum balls- ah!). This market mostly is a rip off in my opinion. Vegetables are priced higher than grocery stores. And some “farmers” are just reselling. Cheese boutique, the store offering the best deals, has been missing for the last few years. Like other reviews say - avoid veggie sellers if you are looking for good prices. Head to the farmers market in Mississauga for amazing produce at half the price. Soul food bread company is good. Farmer John is good and fair priced. Unfortunately that’s about it. husband and I really like this farmers market and we look forward to it every time that it's open. Especially in the summer time we've gotten a variety of cheeses meats, but mainly vegetables from this place. I would like to say that they have some great deals on vegetables if you come at the right time. I'm hoping to buy some more fresh produce providing that their prices are good this summer. People also appreciate the free samples and I really think that to make a good sale it really does help. Looking forward to...
