Very strange attitude of the gallery staff... An older guy (with a beard) keeps staring at attending visitors, just gives you a creepy feeling... My friends reported the same experience when they visited this gallery a few weeks ago, one of them thought maybe he was a security guard, but I don't think it is the case. Another friend of mine who exhibited his art work at a gallery in the area shared with me that this particular gallery will be nice to you only if they think you will buy something from them - once they get a feeling you are not interested in buying their art pieces, they want you to get out. Maybe this explains why they stare at people at all times? In either case, needless to say that this is NOT the right gallery to give your business to. I understand that galleries must sell something in order to stay in business, but who would want to buy from a gallery that leaves you with a creepy feeling? Luckily, there are a lot of interesting (and welcoming) art galleries in the area to choose from, so skip this Ingram gallery and explore other art...

Tarah and Jeff are two of the kindest, most caring and welcoming gallery owners I've met (yes I have met some gallery owners, some of them even invite me back). From my first visit to this lovely three story gallery (don't miss the basement bookstore!) I knew Ingram was special and that Canadian exhibits can celebrate our shared history and culture without collecting dust or pandering politically.
