Kidnasium Upper Beaches — Attraction in Toronto

I really wanted to love this place. The facility itself is great with lots of fun things for kids to do and try out in a safe environment. The bathrooms are strangely run down looking - strange because the rest of the facility is great.

Unfortunately the staff here are very hit and miss. I’ve had very positive experience with some staff and just weird interactions with others. The staff never answer the phone, take forever to reply to emails (and sometimes never), and will be closed without letting people know. Even when we have had a class scheduled there have been a few times we came to lights off and locked doors. There were some interactions where a few families were putting their shoes and kids shoes on after class and the staff member would lock up lights off and leave without any interaction to the families still there. I get it that maybe she doesn’t have to say bye but for a family and kid focused environment, it was very odd. There is also another staff member there who is just horrible with kids or doesn’t know how to work with kids at all. My daughter wouldn’t even realize she was in a class because the instructor would be barely doing anything beyond whispering to the kids to go here and go there. She would watch the kids not pay attention, and I have even tried to chat with her but she just stared at me. So strange. On top of this the price isn’t exactly cheap. Unless you are there for a drop in play, the classes wouldn’t be worth it. Which sucks because there are some amazing instructors but the management is...

I wanted to love this place but this is the last straw. First, I signed up and paid for my daughter to attend a class and a week later, the night before it was set to start, they told me they weren't going to do it because not enough people were interested. I was okay to wait but it's been past the deadline they set and no updates. Second, we went to a drop-in only for there to be paint fumes so they closed early. And finally today, we arrived and the place was closed. No warning.

And I dare you to try to call. No one has ever answered, and their voice mail is broken. Also they take 1 to 3 days before replying to any email.

As I told them, it's really unacceptable to have clients travel 30 minutes just to see a shut door, no answer on the phone, no notice on the door, nothing on the website. If they have to close, the least they can do is email. The fact that this is the third incident in a row makes me not want to risk it again.

What a fun place! I came here with my mom’s group and our kiddos had a blast. Almost every inch of the place is baby proof so they can run into walls and be okay haha. Lots of play stations, my son particularly liked the balance beams and ball pit. They have a nice eating area with high chairs and regular size tables. Bathrooms with step stools and changing tables. Cute little front office with a little couch. We had a chance for a small circle time and engage the kiddos in sensory activists which was fun. Also music in the background sets a fun mood!

The place is downstairs so you can fold and carry stroller down. Wasn’t as steep as I expected and the person there helped me out which was very nice!
