North York Farmers' Market — Attraction in Toronto

A small urban farmer's market with a good diversity of vendors. There is some awesome baking for sale! Naturally, it is also very convenient to the North York Centre subway station. Besides the occasional basket of strawberries that's hard to come by, you're essentially paying 3x the price for the same products - comparable quality to WholeFoods.

It's fun to walk around but you'd be insane to shop here on a regular basis.

Like I get the point of supporting small businesses but farmers markets are supposed to be cheaper and fresher than big box stores due to less overhead and regulations, not significantly (read: +200%)...

Very cute market, good variety of fresh veggies and fruits, baked goods, honey, essential oil products, local hot sauce, etc. I was told they are here every Thursday from Jun to Aug. the hot sauce stand is my favorite. The rest is pretty overpriced in my opinion, especially the fresh produces, compared to the loblows...
