I came here on a Saturday evening with a group a friends during our visit to Distillery Winter Village. It was super busy at the time we visited so we had to be on the waitlist for the next available seating.
Once we were seated, their menu was embedded in a QR code (see images below for reference). We ordered the following:
A Dolly for Sue The ingredients are Spirit of York Gin, honey, lemon, tea, hawthorn berry Gin. My friend commented that this had a strong taste to it. I had the chance to try it since she wasn't able to finish it and I would agree with her statement. I would give this cocktail a 'not bad'.
Charlie in a Box The ingredients are Spirit of York Vodka, pear and ginger cider. I ordered this cocktail and this was also one of the popular cocktails in Spirit of York. It has a sweet taste to it and I personally like it 👍.
Pink Fire Truck The ingredients are Spirit of York Gin, lime, cranberry syrup, ginger beer and rosemary. My friend enjoyed this drink and would definitely recommend this a try. This was also one of the popular cocktails in here.
Two Tin Soldiers The ingredients are vodka, hot chocolate, whipped cream and cinnamon. My friend said that this was good as it gives you that winter festive vibe.
Overall, their service was friendly and it is a great place to try some samples and have a great cocktail. I would definitely be coming back to try out more of their cocktails 🍸.
Spirit of York is meant to be a world class distillery for a world class city like Toronto. Vodka and gin made with ingredients found here in Ontario, most notably our spring water, are just the beginning of offerings from this...
Read moreEmailed about making a group booking for a private tour and flight tasting for a friends birthday. I was told I had to book on the website, went to the website which said I had to email, emailed again, after a week with no response I called and was apologized to for the poor service, the man said the booking shouldn’t be an issue and to email their personal email to confirm. After a day of no response to that email I sent a follow up email, two days later still no response so I called and was told a message would be left for that individual to get back to me when they were in the next day. When I received an email back it was confirming for a time an hour earlier than I requested which we would not be able to make it there for. After calling again, we were informed that we could come in a hour later and do a self guided and still do the tasting, this was no problem for us so we agreed thinking that was that, after getting 12 people from Mississauga to the distillery district, we arrived and the doors were locked (open sign still out and hours before closing) when we knocked to inquire the employee said and walk in group had asked them to close for a private event so they did. I wish I could say their product made up for the HORRIBLE service, but we didn’t even get a...
Read moreOne star for the blond server who was actually friendly and helped us make our vodka bottle purchase. Zero stars for the shockingly rude and unhappy server with long dark hair who, upon seeing us waiting at the sign that said "wait here to be seated", just stared at us from 20 ft away with her arms folded without any welcome or any effort to walk over and greet us. I had to yell 20 ft to where she was standing to tell her the sign was telling us to wait here so we're waiting. Instead of walking over to us, she instead kept saying "what?" and making me repeat myself 3 times so that she could hear me 20 ft away without having to move. When I finally walked over to her I told her she seemed really unhappy and asked if she was having a bad day. She said, "why, you didn't even ask a question yet". I told her I wanted to buy a bottle of vodka. She told the blond server to help me and walked away in a huff. Terrible terrrible way to treat customers. That person should NEVER be working with serving the public. Maybe it's time to consider a career where you don't help people which is the whole point of a...
