The Fare Food Co – A Graduation to Remember I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my partner's law school graduation at The Fare Food Co, accompanied by a small group of close friends and family — and I can confidently say it was one of the most seamless and memorable evenings we’ve experienced. From the first point of contact, the team was incredibly professional and accommodating. Tosh and Spencer, the chefs and primary coordinators, were a joy to communicate with. They ensured that every detail of the evening — from the setup of the event space to the menu customization — was handled with care and precision. We had a few guests with dietary restrictions, and they went above and beyond by thoughtfully curating the pasta course to accommodate allergies without compromising on flavor or creativity. Now let’s talk about the food: The three-course meal was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was beautifully presented and layered with flavor, showcasing the chefs' talent and attention to detail. The olive oil poached salmon was delicate and balanced, and the milk bun with honey, thyme, and cultured butter was a warm, comforting highlight. For the pasta course, both the Lobster Cavatelli and the wild mushroom Cavatelli Pasta were crowd favorites — rich, inventive, and plated like artwork. The evening culminated in a perfectly cooked Wagyu Beef Striploin that paired wonderfully with the charred broccoli and king oyster mushrooms. Jessica, our bartender for the night, also deserves a special mention. She was warm, attentive, and kept the atmosphere lively with her great energy and perfectly crafted drinks. All in all, The Fare Food Co delivered an experience that was not only delicious but deeply personal and memorable. I’d recommend them to anyone looking to host a special occasion — their attention to detail, culinary excellence, and genuinely kind staff set them apart. Thank you again for making this night so special!

I had the pleasure of celebrating my 30th birthday at Fare Food Co. Chefs Tosh and Spencer are very talented. They graciously allowed me to bring my own cake and modify the menu, accommodating dietary restrictions without additional cost. The 3-course meal was varied, each course delicious in its own way (the photos below don't do it justice). The ambiance was cosy with a modern & tasteful table setting. The staff provided exceptional service throughout the evening and did not chase us out as the night progressed. Tosh & Spencer were extremely flexible in accommodating late guests and added a personal touch by preparing individual envelopes based on my seating plan. Otherwise very little other preparation was needed, the chefs and staff had it all covered which really allowed me to enjoy my party. Unlike a traditional restaurant, Fare Food Co. offers great value for a completely private dining space. They provided an unforgettable experience while maintaining a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Fare Food Co. for those seeking a private dining venue in Toronto. From the delectable food to the impeccable service and ambiance, they exceeded my expectations.

We recently held our intimate wedding reception at the Fare Food Co. and absolutely loved the experience. From the first message, Spencer and Tosh were incredibly responsive and made the planning process super easy. They were also a lot of fun to work with, and were very easy-going. They helped create our custom 4-course dinner menu with canapes. We were really impressed with how accommodating they were of dietary restrictions, creating personalized alternate dishes for several guests. The food was AMAZING - all of our guests raved about how delicious everything was. It was definitely a highlight of our wedding day! The staff were extremely professional and attentive - definitely at the caliber of a high-end restaurant. The space itself is gorgeous, spacious, and looks fantastic with minimal décor. Such a hidden gem in downtown Toronto! We would absolutely recommend hosting your event at Fare Food Co. We are already trying to come up with reasons to host another event there!! Thank you so much Spencer and Tosh for everything that you did to make our vision come to life!

I just hosted a surprise birthday party with 30 + guests at The Fare Food Co and Spencer, Tosh and their staff truly made the evening exceptional! I had spoked to them a few months ago and they are so relaxed, but professional--got back to me by phone and then email right away, inviting me to visit their event space at my convenience and proposing a beautiful menu for the party. I had originally thought of hosting the party at my home but am so glad that I chose their event space, which is beautiful, in a historic building with a bar and wrap-around the room banquettes in one room and a large harvest table for sit-down meals in the other room which gives on to a large balcony. They really made the planning easy for me and removed the stress that one feels when hosting an important event. The night of the event was absolutely perfect. All of my guests commented on the quality and delicious flavour of the food--for good reason--it was OUTSTANDING: mushroom croquettes, shrimp toast (like none I've had before), salmon aburi sushi with spicy mayo to start then scallop crudo with granny smith apple, lobster cavatelli, cod with kohlrabi & pistou and 48 hour beef short rib with wild mushroom, pomme puree and truffle. The cocktails were also amazing and they allowed me to bring my own wine for a corkage fee, but also had plenty of choices for beer and their own wine list. The servers were excellent, warm and helpful, navigating their way around my two grandsons who were having a lot of fun running around the large space playing with balloons. The value of the food for the cost of the evening was also excellent. I can't believe how special Fare Food Co is! I am looking forward to hosting another event...
