Like many people have already said this theater is disgusting. I don't know what happened but it seems that the employees don't care anymore. The manager on Wednesday night looked like she put on whatever was on her floor and threw her hair into a quick bun, very unprofessional looking and she gave the worst customer service. The thing is she was also the manager when we went on Sunday and same thing, honestly it looked like it was the same hairdo that she left in for 4 days.
Both times there was a huge line up and she goes to the back of the line and starts helping people there, pushing the self serve ticket booths. Of course the machines aren't working properly and you can't pay when you have an Access 2 Entertainment card or coupons from the Holiday booklet. She left after she helped a few people and with the machines not working everyone was going to the one cashier asking for help. It took us almost 20 minutes to buy our tickets.
On Sunday when we arrived there were two cashiers working and a huge line up and for some reason one of them left so there was only one guy trying his best to rush people through and then this manager started to help. Like I said very unprofessional and when we asked to speak to the manager she informed us she was the manager, we asked for the head manager and were told she was it. She asked us what is was concerning and I told her terrible customer service and that we would like to speak to the head manager. She sort of threw a business card at my daughter and said that was the head manager.
If she is the sort of person in charge it is little wonder the bathrooms are a mess and the employees at the concession stand were standing around talking to each other instead of helping those who want to buy something. We ended up going into the movie without buying anything, and even tried after the movie to get a poutine (my daughter wanted one as a treat) and had to wait forever for us to be even acknowledged never mind for our order to actually be taken. 4 employees standing around talking and one person working.
After our experience on Sunday we decided to buy our tickets early and then go for dinner rather than get anything at the concession stands.
I love going to the theater and have been going since this one opened, but this place is a mess and the service is terrible.
What really got me though, was on Wednesday we said something to an employee about the mess and terrible service and she told us that why she goes to the theater in Strawberry Hill. Makes me sad to see that the employees clearly don't care about how terrible this...
Read moreNever had worse experience anywhere in North America!
I took my family to the last screening of the day at 10:10pm with tickets purchased on line, so I literally had no experience with any of the staff except the boy who checked us in. So far so good.
Upon entering the auditorium, I immediately noticed a broken recline chair with its seat back unable to spring back upright. The room was literally empty so it did not bother us too much. Right after we settled in we found the floor was littered with trash. Two signs of careless management.
Seconds after we sit down and started to look up at the screen for the trailers before the main event, I was surprised to find that there is a stain on the screen! It's about a quarter way down from the top and slightly off to the left of center. It's not very easily noticeable, but it's big enough that anyone will definitely see it after a period of time if they did not sleep through the movie. Once you see it you can't unsee it. I did not want to waste my time with their management so we tried to learn to ignore the stain, but we always feel there is a bug flying with the characters in the movie.
We always sit through the end credit after a good movie to wrap up our experience, to enjoy the music, to appreciate the scale and people and technology involved in the production, and to pay respect to the cast and crew who gave us the experience. We really enjoyed the movie (this is the second time we see it in cinemas, first time at somewhere else) and we wanted to stay a little longer as we always do after a good movie. But literally seconds into the end credit the whole presentation was abruptly stopped. No fade out in sound, no dimming in video projection, just brutally cut. You can feel the technician couldn't wait to go home and just pull the plug. I have been to countless movies that are the last screening of the day but never had anything like this before. This indicates the staff and management do not respect performing art –or any creation– and they do not respect their customers. This is a shame!
We did not bother to contact the management who probably couldn't care less about providing quality service to their customers. We will...
Read moreI like the fact that they’ve got lots of different movie theatres to choose from the lineup for the concession is great. I like the variety of the concessions that you get to offer such as not just popcorn but now you’re serving all sorts of different varieties of food, which is fantastic lots of parking prices of course are reasonable no matter what the movie is. It’s great. The only thing that I unfortunately have to disagree with is that when we went to see Captain America, brave world we saw in 3-D AX and in the 3-D box Unfortunately I did not like the 3-D box because it did not have the recliner so you had to put your feet on the floor and unfortunately that’s really uncomfortable so I will not be going to this movie theatre again because I like the one at Strawberry Hill where it has the D box the AVX and the 3-D and the recliner with the D box and it’s way more entertaining and you’re way more engrossed and you feel like you’re participating where with your feet on the ground you don’t really feel like you’re all in and that’s something that is actually really important to me. Otherwise the washrooms are clean. The movie theatre is clean. The staff is professional and friendly, and I’m thankful that I got to experience something a bit different what I would suggest to make yourselves a bit more. I don’t know what can I say profitable or maybe just be more aware because you have four different entrances into the movie theatre and you only have one person at one door now we walked in and nobody greeted us so we could’ve just walked in and watched any movie that we wanted to because nobody stopped us and I said what movie are you here to see so I would suggest putting more people at all the doors so that you can capture every single person coming in and that you can basically tear their ticket so you know that they are valuable customer as well as a paying customerplenty of parking well-maintained just put more people...
