FORME Hair Salon Broadway — Attraction in Vancouver

POOR SERVICE!! DON'T WANT TO GIVE EVEN ONE STAR!

My friend and I had driven all the way from West Van to this salon amidst a storm last Saturday. Unfortunately, due to the weather, we ended up arriving a bit late for the scheduled appointment. When we arrived, the stylist Yuria greeted us in a very cold and uncaring manner. She immediately informed my friend that her tardiness would result in a fine, and that she would refuse to provide her with a haircut, despite the salon being completely empty at the time. Rather than trying to accommodate us and complete the service, Yuria chose to argue with us instead.

To make matters worse, Yuria displayed an extremely poor and unprofessional attitude throughout the encounter. She had the worst demeanor of any service provider I have ever interacted with. My friend was so upset by Yuria's behavior that she ended up in tears. Yuria simply rolled her eyes in response, rather than showing any empathy or concern.

While the manager did eventually agree to refund money, Yuria continued to pester us, further exacerbating the situation. This was an incredibly disappointing and unacceptable experience.

I expect Forme Hair Salon to take this complaint seriously and address the unprofessional conduct of your employee Yuria. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, care and understanding, especially when unexpected circumstances arise. I hope you will use this feedback to improve the service standards...

I was helped by Ai who is a friendly and amazing hairstylist and specializes in scalp therapy.

After Covid, I noticed losing a lot of hair and I have tried using different shampoo but it has not helped and so I booked an appointment with Ai.

She took a look at my hair and shared with me what she was going to do for me today.

She was going to deep clean my scalp and then wash my hair with the deep cleaning shampoo to clean out the buildup. (My scalp was flaky and itchy prior to my appointment) After the first deep cleaning, Ai then cleaned my scalp with the sensitive scalp shampoo. After that, she massage my scalp to improve the circulation. Following that she conditioned my hair and put a warm down on my neck and massage my scalp some more. Then I was back in the chair and she applied hair serum to hydrate my scalp and then blew Dry my hair. It was sooo relaxing and I can feel a significant change in my hair where it was super soft and shiny and my scalp was not itchy anymore.

She told me to massage my head and to ensure to not let work stress affect me.

I plan to see her a month from now and I highly recommend Ai. She is genuine and takes pride in helping her clients with her hair problems.

I had an appointment with Meg on hair color and hair cut. I chose Meg because previously I had a coloring and treatment appointment with her and it turned out exactly like what I wanted and she convinced me that our head and hair shape is similar so she would like to try cutting my hair next time. My head is wide on the sides and flat at the back. My hair is Asian frizzy, damaged, dry and a lot of volume in the back and side. I am not a hairstylist myself but given my hair is difficult to cut, I had a few experienced stylist both in Japan and in in Vancouver, so I know the type of cut that would work for me. The haircut Meg gave me was using beginner techniques that was not used by experienced stylist. The result: it left me with a mushroom style. Thick and short on top and very little hair and thin on the bottom. I will not be able to put my hair down without it widening my face more.
