This place is a GEM!💎 Beautiful, calming space. Super spacious float tanks. If you want to float like a starfish go to Halsa 🌟 I’ve floated over 700 times in various float centres and I also work in the industry in another province. This is definitely one of the best float spaces I’ve been to. Prepare to feel held and cared for, from the moment you walk through the door, all the way to the end… For those interested in sensory deprivation this place has the experience completely dialed in. The water is set to a comfortable/neutral temperature. The tank has no light leaks, and is quiet enough to hear the heart beat rather quickly.. there are buttons inside for music/light options if needed. The water is a touch shallower than I’m used to, but that actually caused me to get WAY more still in there, helping me to go ‘deeper’. I went in there with super sore calves, coming out they feel so much better! Thank you!!! If you’re thinking about going for a float in Vancouver this is the place! You won’t regret it.

during floating, there's something that stands out to me, the most interesting thing that I felt is that when I focus on my breathing and I calmed down my mind, I felt my heart beat and the blood flow through my body, and the pulse on my arm actually creates a gentle ripple on the water, I find that quite an amazing thing to experience. The best thing about floating is having the freedom to completely focus on your mind and not worry about sitting posture and feeling tiredness from the meditation posture. This is quite an amazing perk if you're into meditating. Would I recommend it? Yes, if you are familiar with meditation. and you will appreciate the experience very much Yes, if you want to try new experience. however you might not fully enjoy the experience, or you might end up feeling bored I would suggest trying meditation first, and feel if that's your thing, if that's the case, floating is an amazing experience

Still feel like I'm floating.. I live near Halsa, and have walked by their Kits location countless times. Their website is very helpful, it tells you everything you need to know and even provides you with a virtual tour of the facility. I booked a session in a genesis pod online and today was the day. The facility has an amazing vibe to it, a tranquil spa like feel right on W 4th. The session starts with a tour of the building, you are shown the bathrooms, the float pods, the meditation room and the lounge. After that, you proceed to your pod for some instructions and off you go. Everything was very clean and very cared for. The float was out of this world, even now 4 hours later I am incredibly relaxed. I highly recommend this location and will be back for sure. I found it to be an excellent value.

Due to Covid, my birthday plans to go north had to be cancelled so I did a self care day (acupuncture, massage, float). I came to Halsa because I got a gift card for xmas. When I arrived and shared it was my first visit, I was asked to sign in. The employees were talking amongst themselves and it felt awkward as I wasn't sure what to do next. Each time I was given the iPad and shoes, it was placed at the side of the desk I wasn't on which was a bit odd as well. I was given a tour and brought to my pod room. When I was done and went to leave, no one was in the front and the door was locked. Eventually someone came and let me out and I was just excited to go home. I'm not sure what tea everyone is mentioning because I was not made aware or given an offer. I heard my pod mention tea but the speaker was broken and cut out multiple times so I wasn't sure what it was saying. The experience itself was just fine. Floating was an interesting feeling and I was definitely in a relaxed state all day already but the room temperature was colder than the water or not warm enough because as I was breathing, I kept feeling cold as the water stopped covering that depth. Especially every deep inhale. It was super cold when I got out and the shower temperature was only lukewarm, the shampoo didn't lather well so with my long hair I couldn't get out fast enough to feel warm again. The water pressure was about as strong as a rainfall so that slowed me down too. The most positive aspect was how soft my skin was after. I believe I was the only person left so perhaps they turned the heat off too soon. Honestly, I have a very comfy bed so I think I'd get the same experience taking a nap at home and I'd have the perk of feeling warm. Might be great for parents who just need time alone of anyone with injuries that wants to take some pressure off. At least I can say I've tried it but would not want to...

BEWARE booking with this spa. Was a Repeat customer from out of province..Last visit 15months ago or so. Cancelled both massages within 30minutes of booking with Rosie. Terrible customer experience. Did not advise me of credit card 24 hr cancellation. Told me no refunds when I called back right away to re-book a later time. She should’ve told me that BEFORE I booked so that I would NOT book until I double-checked time with my daughter. We're from Toronto visiting our daughter who has set up her home in Kitsilano. Luckily Halsa didn't have my credit card on file any longer since it's been over a year since I booked last. Since she didn't ask me for a credit card NOR did she advise me of the cancellation policy, I didn't think there would be a charge for cancelling within 30minutes of the booking AND given that we wouldn't have had 24hrs notice to give her in the first place. Very poorly handled. As a small business, you could’ve had my daughter's network in Kits. You just lost it. Rosie’s arrogant tone was so off-putting that i didn’t even feel encouraged to re-book for tonight or later tomorrow. As well, I was compelled to post this poor review as a warning to others. Now, unfortunately it will be noted as a business to steer clear from. Small businesses need to treat customers better or they won't last. Shame, because my other daughter & i enjoyed our massages w Kayla & Carmen @ our last visit. Poor handling of our booking. Got a call from GM Rio next day apologizing for miscommunication. He kindly offered us for free an extra 30min.on massage or free infrared sauna to make up for the negative energy created. Leaving Vancouver tomorrow. Made other plans. My daughter will stick to her RMT (Halsa’s are not RMTs so not covered by insurance plan). Thanks anyway. I raised the rating by 1 star for the apology & offer but the inflexible, negative energy from Rosie has done its...

This was my first time visiting Halsa Spa, after looking at various positive reviews on-line, I can certainly say that this won't be my last visit to this wonderful place of relaxation!

After being served some flavoured tea before my treatments, the first part of my visit was using the float pool Ocean Cabin, which is a well-sized rectangular pool to move around in throughout the 90-minute period. You float on your back - after having experienced this a month ago in the Dead Sea in Israel, I had an idea of what to expect. A shower is outside the chamber and in your own private room. Music was calming and overall, it was a nice and pleasant experience. The spa gives you earplugs to wear, which is highly recommended.

The second part of my visit was an out-of-this-world massage by Ben, who greeted me warmly and gave a full body massage for 60 minutes with total professionalism and strong but gentle hands! I almost fell asleep a few times and didn't think about anything at all while having the treatment. I'm sure the other massage experts are just as wonderful as Ben was! I could barely get up from the table after the massage ended - that's how relaxing it was!

Finally, I relaxed in the infared sauna, which was nice...your own private sauna room with the shower outside of the sauna but in your private room - it is necessary to cool off several times during the 60-minute period. It was a wonderful and soothing experience!

Thank you very...
