Its a nice small size community center . Its got a gym with steam rooms. Unfortunately no swimming pool here šŸ˜• . Its does have a sports court area for basketball ,yoga , badminton šŸø etc. It does have a huge rock climbing wall here . Its got a library . Its got public washrooms and lockers . Its got some rooms to rent . Its got a cafe shop and vending machines. Its got a lobby lounge with sofas and a tv to watch . Its also has condos upstairs . Its got places for bikes and pay car parking around. It does have a free public showers 🚿 area in the washrooms on the first level area .

I recently went to this community center for an event. This community center includes a basket ball court, gym, public library, and few halls. If you’re looking to book one of the halls for an event I think this is a good place. There’s a small play area for kids. Also, there’s indoor climbing. There’s a security guard at the entrance. Overall, I had a good experience. If you want more info you can check their website.

Good place to go to library or gym. They also offer many different classes (pre-COVID). Right now you are able to go to the gym, however you should phone and book in advance and pay by card. They do also leave three drop in spots. Drop in rate is $6.00. Sadly the sauna and change rooms are closed. I would recommend wearing your gym clothes there.

Communications: don't rely "sole-i.e." on socially sourced information that hasn't been updated for today; if you're helping the homeless, remember that there are different kinds of poverty, including lack of access to communication, education, home and healthcare, or lack of a mobile communication device enhancing social and family connections, or "lack of" power/battery/access to electrical outlet; lack of access to hygiene and sanitation amenities, Clean Water, and sources of Joyful News about great happenings! etc. let me count the ways...I wish you great luck in everything! May you be grateful, happy, understanding, good and well! (Eat from the tree of LIFE) Viva Coast Salish Traditional Territories, Lands, and Seas - colonially/colloquially known as vancouver.ca (Canada) Viva La Joie De Vivre! For Everything There Is a Season! Serenity Prayer, Desiderata, Max Ehrmann, and This, too, shall Pass(e! as in some people will never die, as long as they live in our hearts - even in Passe Composez!) Yay! for Intergenerational Community Centers like Mount Pleasant, Hillcrest, The Carnegie, et cetera But we definitively need more primary health care and Leeds Gold Passive...

Background I've been a member here for on and off four years.

Facilities Everything is pretty good here, nothing really special. It's definitely pushing capacity, there are very few quiet times at this gym.

If you're someone looking to use treadmills or stationary bikes, or nautilus machines I think you'll find it pretty accessible.

If you like using squat racks you're likely going to have to wait, they did introduce sign up sheets which have been really helpful to combat people who take inexplicable 10 minute rests after each set.

With all that said it's definitely one of the better-priced gyms and you are able to use any of the other city facilities.

I can't comment on the change room or shower, i usually just head home to tidy up,

Staff I haven't used of any of the managed fitness services (trainers) , but the people who run the front desk and oversee the gym are always...

UPDATE many of us have had to adjust to a reality where public centres require vaccination, appropriate ID and in some cases changes in behaviours. Mount Pleasant earned five stars under normal circumstances, however, like many companies, states and nations, Mount Pleasant Community Centre gets a FAIL with regards to how the facility is managrd under current public order. Twice this month (Feb 2022) I made my way to the Mount Pleasant fitness center to find out that it was closed. Prior to leaving, I checked with the City of Vancouver website AND a photo of a revised schedule that was in place before COVID or after....actually it was in between, nevertheless it was a scheduretthat w

One of my fave public gyms and fitness...
