I visited the Lululemon store at Park Royal in West Vancouver with my wife to purchase a pair of womenâs pants. Weâre both personal trainers, and we each have a 25% employee discount. I was at the counter preparing the purchase when the sales associate bluntly told me that I couldnât use my discount on a womenâs item because âyou can only use your discount on your own purchases.â I asked, âWhy not? You donât knowâmaybe I want to wear it myself.â She then gave me a mocking, judgmental laugh that made me furious.
I told her, âYou have no right to mock someoneâs gender or style. We live in a free country, and maybe I like wearing womenâs clothingâyour laughter and judgement are completely unacceptable.â It was at that moment my wife stepped in, insisted on using her discount code, and we asked to speak with a manager. The manager came over and managed to complete the transaction â but nobody offered us an apology. The entire interaction left us feeling judged, uncomfortable, and unwelcome.
Iâve always thought Lululemon claimed to value inclusivity and respect for individuality. Unfortunately, the treatment we received at this location was anything but inclusive or respectful. I hope management addresses this, because a mocking laugh is not the kind of customer service that reflects your...
Read moreIâm just writing this review to make the management aware of the experience I had with an employee. The girl greeted me at the door and I asked her about the leather looking belt bag. I asked if itâs leather and she said it is vegan leather. I told her I donât really like vegan leather and prefer a leather bag. She went on to push her opinion on me in a rude and insensitive manner. She said something along the lines of its vegan leather because here we care about the animals. Then she told me she would be on the other end if I needed help and walked offâŠâŠâŠ Iâm sorry but not all Lululemon products are vegan as many of the winter coats are stuffed with animal down feathers. I donât need to be made to feel guilty about my shopping preferences by an employee of a store Iâm shopping at. Management should have a chat with their team to remind them to keep their opinion respectful. Otherwise the employee at the changing room Miriam was kind and helpful and I ended up buying some clothes. I wonât be interested in coming to this particular...
Read morethis location's protocols for COVID is one of the worst that I have seen. I've been coming into the mens side to return over the past few visits. Today they limit 3 customers that are allowed in the store. People outside were waiting for over 30 minutes because the person who was at the register took over 30 minutes ringing this couple through.
I understand that there is a limit for how many people can be in the store. The store was at max capacity and then an employee from the womens went into the mens store and she was there for over 30 minutes. What happened to social distancing and max capacity? That makes no sense. If an employee can just go into the store when it is max capacity due to social distancing?
I am not pleased with this store and I am going to actually write an email to head...
