New York Fries Park Royal — Restaurant in West Vancouver

Recently checked-out NYF in Food Court at PR for 1st time. Was not disappointed.... They're way beyond plain-old rando fries! Picture fries: freshly-cut and crispy brown on the outside and ohh so tender on the inside. Really really good fr. No exaggeration!

Went for the basic "Perfect Combo" for this time. Pretty safe + tasty choice tbh, including NYF famous fries, their generous NYF Hot Dog (no wimpy lil dogs here) and large Coke. Large generous portions all, plus totally made-to-order fresh.

All NYF fries are pretty meal-sized imo. They come plain, but also in varieties -- topped + seriously loaded with nachos, beef chili, pulled pork, butter chicken, etc., and also in multiple combinations with Poutine. Likewise for their Hot Dogs -- plain or loaded.

NYF is apparently pretty low-key famous - popular for its Franco-Canadien delicacy on fries, and just take a look around the Food Court, any day. Gotta admit it does look interesting and I'm definitely a fan of cheese.

Will definitely check-out a chili or nacho-loaded NYF fries combo next time... and who knows maybe NYF will make me a future Poutine-fan of...

My mom visited the Park Royal store on Saturday afternoon, and ordered a regular fries. My mom is a frequent customer of NYF at Park Royal, however this time she found the fries were extremely soggy like cotton, tasted like the staff just warmed up the left overs. My mom returned to the counter and kindly ask the staff to change a new one or do a remake, however the staff had a very bad attitude at my mom and directly refused her simple request. They said it was only $6.49 and that the fries is supposed to taste like that. We have visited this restaurant a lot of times and never tasted anything like that before. Customer service was terrible. The 2 staff that were working till and the fryers were unhappy. The customer ahead of me was waiting on them to complete his order, but both ignored him when he asked for his drink and went to help out a skip the dishes? Or one of the food delivery service guys. After his 3rd try they got his drink but with a scowl. When it came to me the person on till wasnt friendly when i said no to addons. She got my hotdog and put it on tray. No asking if I wanted toppings. I had to ask for my side of gravy. I felt I.was an inconvenience to them. I was at the Park Royal location at 2:39pm. I love New york fries but will stay clear when these 2...
