Manitoba Club — Attraction in Winnipeg

My husband and I had our wedding here August 2024. We’ve been to the club a couple other times and the experience is always great. As others have mentioned the historic building gives such a beautiful ambience!

Our wedding went so smoothly and I really couldn’t have asked for it to be better. A club running a wedding smoothly and keeping everyone happy, I’m sure, is no easy feat as there are 100 things that could go wrong.

The Manitoba Club delivered on everything from service, to food, to providing an exceptional coordinator. Margaux was instrumental in bringing everything together. We found her punctual, a quick communicator and super competent especially in the niche of Wedding Coordinating. Even where some pieces fell with vendors outside of the club, she went above and beyond to make things come together at the last minute. Those gestures are what made the night so gorgeous. She was the person to adjust the veil for me before walking down the aisle - to speak to the level of care and attentiveness she shows.

Margaux had some really good ideas and suggestions which I’m SO HAPPY she brought forward because it made for such a more fun experience. For example: Our rehearsal dinner was held at the MC as well, she had the cutest cake made for us. And the overall set up was so beautiful. She has classy taste and helped us choose multiple things with decor etc.

We felt the pricing of the club and given the high quality of food was very reasonable. Our alcohol bill was not bad, and we even had some pretty fancy signature cocktails! The billing by the club was accurate to what was ordered by our guests (I mention this as some venues can over bill).

We chose the Beef Wellington, Chicken with Brie, Encrusted Shrimp and all had great feedback from our attendees.

The club even made our 5 tier cake! We had flowers delivered and the chef beautifully placed the flowers all over.

5/5 experience - my husband and I are considering to become members as we really just like being here. The staff is well versed with members and what they may want and have great memories.

We had our wedding at the Manitoba Club this summer and could not recommend it enough! We had such an amazing day and so much of that was due to choosing Manitoba Club as our venue.

We loved the building’s architecture and ambiance which is elegant and classic. There are many beautiful areas for photo opportunities in and around the building as well. What we really liked about Manitoba Club for our wedding was that they have a beautiful outdoor garden space (that we used for our ceremony) but also a gorgeous inside ceremony space (the Oak Room) that we had as a weather backup plan – which took a lot of stress off of us for the planning, knowing that we’d love either location.

The food is to die for! We had heard great things about it and it lived up to our expectations and more (particularly the beef tenderloin, which was our favorite). We also got our wedding cake made through the club and it was amazing! We weren’t the biggest fan of the icing of the cake we tried at our trial dinner (which was buttery/not as sweet as what we wanted) but the club took our requests for our vision to heart and made our dream wedding cake!

The team of staff at the club were competent and professional. Margaux was our venue coordinator and she is amazing! Not only was she knowledgeable and organized which helped make the planning and the day go smoothly, but she made the process so much more fun by being so positive about our vision and personalized details, and being our hype woman on the day. Thank you!

One thing to keep in mind for A/V set-up: We were planning on using the Club’s sound system in the ballroom upstairs for speeches, but our videographer raised the issue to us that they wouldn’t be able to connect directly to that for their sound recording, which would have impacted the sound quality for our video. We ended up switching to use the microphone/sound system from our DJ, which the video team was able to connect to. Therefore, that is something to be mindful of for others planning...

This review is long overdue! We had our wedding at the Manitoba Club in June 2022. The location itself is stunning given its historic interior and exterior — you don’t need to spend a fortune to transform the space as it’s already beautiful. A lot is provided already too, which makes planning much easier.

A special shoutout to Margaux who coordinates the weddings. I believe she was newer to the role when we had our wedding post COVID when everything was opening back up, though you’d never know it with her knowledge and experience. She’s reliable, offers sound suggestions re decor, vendors, etc., answered my countless questions over email, and was there the day and night of to ensure everything ran smoothly. She frequently checks in to make sure the bride, groom, and bridal party are taken care of; our bridal party LOVED Margaux! She also set aside a quiet and private room for me to nurse at my sister’s wedding, which was so appreciated.

We had a vegan wedding and appreciated Margaux and the chef listening to our ideas to create meal options. The meals were delicious and looked beautiful; we really appreciated the club working with us to make our vegan wedding a reality.

Overall the experience was very positive and I would highly recommend couples to The Manitoba Club for their wedding. They sincerely care that they do a good job and will work with you to ensure your event...
