Vantage Vintage Boutique — Attraction in Winnipeg

I love it here! I was perusing a different boutique in the city and was directed to their men's rack, as if I were clueless about me. Intentions aside, it frankly was annoying - there’s a reason I’m situated in front of this rack, and not the one you’re nudging me toward. Assumptions and projections of what one is looking for, or how one should dress in relation to misguided norms would never happen at Vantage Vintage Boutique. A few items I’ve purchased from them really feel like a deliverance of a self that I previously locked away because it would only ever be aspirational, not reality. I visited Vantage Vintage this week to see if they carry any vintage wedding dresses. One of the owners brought out a large selection from the back of the store. When I say these dresses were the most beautiful I had ever seen - they were. I had the most lovely experience today and yesterday, as both the owners helped me find the perfect dress for my special day. They had steamed them and had the ones I selected ready in the change room for me. The whole experience they created was so exciting, thoughtful, and it just made it to be such a smooth and easy decision. As Winnipeg is full of hidden gems across the city, this gem in particular sparkles the brightest. The Vantage Vintage Boutique and it’s owners are definitely making strides within the thrifting and vintage community. You can find anything from retro HBC coats and blankets, to a belt buck any cowboy/cowgirl would be jealous of and do a dare say you can find the occasion vintage Chanel or other high-end designers.
