Estación Mapocho Cultural Center — Attraction in Santiago

………………..One is mesmerized by the sheer beau-tii of the condition of this antiquated impressive building which served as a grand train station built in 1912 and was such till 1987 when it was renovated and turned into a Cultural Exhibition Centre. The well maintained concrete structure with its moldered designed columns and large wrought iron and glass frontal is a real wonder. When one enters through the automatic doors you find yourself in a love-lii large foyer reception area with its high doomed arches also patterned with moldered designs. These dooms forms atrium's where the light shines through the colour tinted windows. Around the foyer there are lots of advertising material about the history of the Mapocho Station and current and future exhibitions which is to take place. On the day of our visit unfortunate-lii there was no exhibitions scheduled. So for us it was free where normal-lii one would have to pay an entrance-fee, for the wool expo the fee would have been $3.000 peso and students $2.000 peso. The next exhibition scheduled for the 21st to the 23rd June 2019 is the Wool exhibition. Once you move on through the foyer area to the very massive hall where the exhibitions are supposed to be held again one is impressed by the massive steel columns keeping up the roof. Here there are lots of small shop-fronts all with different names supposed-lii of famous people in the cultural fraternity. The only activity we found here today was a group of young people preparing for some Dinosaur display as they were donning large dinosaur-costumes. This hall is so big that they even use four-wheeled motorized polishers to clean the place. When you exit this exhibition centre you are confronted with one of the most beautiful sights ever especial-lii in winter, in the distance is the Andes range of mountains covered in pure-white snow, so...

Comentario algo más objetivo:

La sala donde se proyecta un vídeo sobre dinosaurios es larga y angosta. Si bien cuenta son sillas para ver el video de una forma cómoda. Creo que hacen ingresar a más personas de la cantidad que debiese ser para ver la pantalla de una forma cómoda. Muchas personas en el suelo y viendo el video desde la orilla.

El vídeo es proyectado mediante dos proyectores que están en el techo. Tienen una mala calibración en color. El de la derecha hace que la imagen proyectada se vea verde y el de la izquierda, se vea rosa.

El audio deja mucho que desear, ya que está reventado por los malos parlantes que se ocupan.

El vídeo es más orientado hacia adultos que hacia niños. Mucha información de datos duros con una voz de locutor grave y plana que lo hace aburrido y poco interactivo.

La pista de autos si bien es entretenida, con la cantidad de gente que va, ni siquiera se dan el tiempo de darte instrucciones. Te pasan un casco, un vehículo para los niños y nada más. Arreglatela como puedas.

El espectáculo de teatro es lo más destacable, inmersivo y bien iluminado, así como los personaje cuando hablan. Está vez destaco el audio, ya que la voz de los actores de escucha a la perfección. Lo único malo es que si bien es un espectáculo hecho a la medida de los niños, estos quedan bajo el escenario, sobre todo los más pequeños (menos de 5 años). Lo que hace que varios adultos se coloquen enfrente, tapando la vista de otros niños que estén detrás. Si bien se dan instrucciones para que esto no pase, no hay nadie separando los grupos. Y la mejor opción por el gran espacio que tienen fue haber puesto gradas para poder ver la obra. Sino tendrás que estar con tu pequeño en brazos durante media hora aprox.

Otra cosa que quería destacar fue la mala iluminación en las escaleras, estás no están pensadas para adultos mayores que bayan al espectaculo...
