Grand Club access for this hotel is a must. When booking, choose to upgrade to the Grand Club lounge access, it's a little bit more, but it's worth every penny. But sometimes the Grand Club access might be sold out. They have the view of the harbor. The picture of the harbor are from their club lounge windows. The breakfast and happy hour foods are the best of all the Grand Hyatt hotels that I have been to. The size of their rooms are spacious. Bigger than most Asian hotel rooms. Their location is next to the convention center. But access to the downtown area , it's bit of a walk. And their MTR is 5 to 10 minutes walk from the hotel. I do agree with other reviews that this hotel is very dated. It hasn't changed much from 10 years ago. I was surprised that they didn't update the bathroom with a bidet. I been to Grand Hyatt or Park Hyatt in Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. They all have a bidet. And their furniture looks old and dated. For the price they charge, I would think after 10 years, they can afford to update and upgrade their furniture. 🤦. Another little things that this hotel is behind others and not willing to spend money to upgrade, is the safe in the room, it is only a four digit code. All the hotel that I been to in the last two years have upgraded to a six digit code. Another is the electrical outlet, they still require a Hong Kong type of plug to fit in their outlets. all the top end hotel that I been to in the past two years including Europe have changed their outlets to a universal outlet that can fit any kinds of outlets from any country. These two items don't cost a lot to upgrade and yet they wanted to milk the current hotel condition as long as possible. I also noticed that the bed is the most uncomfortable bed in all the Grand or Park Hyatt that I been to including top end Europe hotels. They decided to go the cheapest route by getting a firm bed with some padding. And we are talking about bed in a suite. I dropped it one star because all the above issues. I wrote the review when I first arrive after 10 years. So I was too excited. They need to be careful and start upgrading and improving the Hotel, or else they might drop a level to Hyatt Regency. This is what happened to the Hyatt in Shinjuku. The hotel owner doesn't understand that it would cost twice or three times as much to remodel and upgrade when things are falling apart. Too bad the owner didn't do the remodel and upgrade during COVID-19. And I also noticed that the smell of moisture or dampness in the room and hallway, plus lobby windows gets foggy. This is an indication that the hotel air conditioning system is dieing, it can't handle the moisture in the air. Compared to other buildings in the area none of them have the same issue as with this hotel. If hotel is not careful, that dampness will cause the mold to grow in the delivery system. To fix the mold issue, it will cost a Fortune to get rid of it. Best advice to the owner is to replace the air conditioning system ASAP.

Hong Kong culture is generally blunt and perceived as unfriendly. After a long day, it’s always so comforting to return to the welcoming Grand Hyatt. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every bit of it. Grand Hyatt rooms are spacious for land scarcity HK. Rooms are renovated, functional, with full height windows. Harbor view rooms are amazing. We are within the best skyline in the world, and out the window, half of that HK postcard skyline is visible. Also in view are the calming Victoria harbour, Victoria peak and tallest two buildings in HK. Sensational view. Yet, Grand Hyatt rooms are priced lower than other harbor facing hotels. Great deal. We took the club room. Club levels have exclusive front desk and lifts. Front desk staff who handled our check-in was awesome. She helped us made the best arrangements, especially when we are traveling with a toddler. Club lounge has the entire Victoria harbor as its backdrop. It’s not quite high but deliver a great panorama view of HK. We went for breakfasts and evening cocktails. Evening cocktail is a must try. They manage to make simple lounge food taste delicious. And Ruinart champagne is served throughout, rather uncommon. We love that kids are allowed in the lounge for all hours, but this could be nuisance for some others. Services were great. They put in effort to remember their guests and made us felt comfortable. This is one of the best lounges experience we had. Situated at an iconic location, the hotel is well served by taxi. Hyatt staff is stationed at the taxi queue to help guests translate their destinations to Cantonese. That is really helpful for visitors. Hotel is connected to 2 train stations, but require some walking. The nearer and newer station is rather inconvenient to get to major attractions, so expect to use more of the Wan Chai station. Grand Hyatt lobby is dated but still felt grand. Hotel ground is huge, with many food options and a good spa. Facilities are shared with the adjacent hotel and residences, forming huge pool, playground, and various sports facilities like tennis. To note that access to convention center is via a long flight of stairs, and not stroller/wheelchair accessible. We had a stroller and just use the main entrance or took taxi. Overall, a remarkable hotel that is worth returning. Tips: We recommend the ~50usd upgrade to harbor view and ~150usd upgrade to club room with great value.

My partner and I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for a relaxing couples staycation in a 1 King Bed Harbour View Plateau with Terrace. We booked the Taste of Japan experience which included a Japanese bath ritual and in-room Japanese dinner for two. The staff was incredibly accommodating by letting us check-in early! Our stay started with spa appointments we booked in addition to our accommodation. Both services and staff were excellent, Anne and Ano. The Plateau rooms are located within the quiet Spa so it was lovely to be picked up from our room and walk the sort distance to our service. The Harbour View Plateau with Terrace room is very cool and a unique style. The harbor views are incredible and the terrace is a cool spot to sit and enjoy each other company while taking in the sights. (We highly recommend downloading the symphony of lights music to watch with the light show!) I had a hard time understanding the bath when reading over other reviews before we booked, so I added my photos of the bath to help others get a better idea of how the bath works. one edge of the bath is all glass, you step into the bath through the shower. There is more than enough space in the bath for 2 people. We were lucky enough to secure a spot at the pool even with the low occupancy during these restricted times. The pool was lovely and we had a few drinks and snacks delivered to our loungers from The Grill mobile app. The pool was relaxing for us, but also seemed great for families. The Plateau room with terrace does not include Grand Club access for afternoon Tea or Evening Cocktails so I paid the extra to be able to access. The views are amazing from the Grand Club so I would recommend booking Afternoon Tea or Cocktails during your stay (we didn’t have time for either of these but breakfast was lovely). The entire stay from the bath, to the private dinner, was a romantic and relaxing experience. Veronica and Crystal with Guest Services were prompt and informative when I had questions and requests for our reservation! All the staff were wonderful and I highly recommend a stay at Grand Hyatt.

Grand Hyatt HK has always been my #1 go-to hotel whenever I visited HK (at least that’s where I stayed during my last 3 visits). I always stayed in a harbor view room and OMG the view is amazing. I really can’t get sick of it. The checkin process was quite seamless and I managed to get an early checkin. I had complimentary lounge access with my room category which came in very handy as I could catch up friends over drinks on a couple of occasions. The view from the lounge is just as spectacular. Impressive spreads for breakfast and cocktail hours. GHHK’s location used to be a bit inconvenient as it’s a bit away from public transportation. But since the new MTR line started, its location cannot be more prefect, especially my mom lives just 3 stations away. Very easy for her to join me for meals at the hotel. Last but not least, GHHK hosts 2 of my absolute favorite restaurants, OneHarborRoad and Grisinni. I used to go to OHR regularly whilst I lived in HK. I went back for dinner last Sunday and ran into the manager (Anthony) who has been working there all these times. Had a nice brief warm catchup with him. I will definitely stay at GHHK when in town from now on.

As I'm checking out now... I need to pen this review before I leave for the airport... Booked directly with Grand Hyatt HK and emailed them about my request for a surprise for my wife to be... Amy Roh from Guest Services promptly replied my emails and proactively decorated up the room for our honeymoon within short notice. We were treated to a spectacular view of Victoria Harbour! Qte needless for me to talk about the room they are nothing short of luxury. Nothing to fault for this hotel... Need to specially dedicate this review for Amy... pls keep up the good work and you are definitely an asset to Grand Hyatt... special mention to Sam too for her speedy check in process.. efficient and fuss free.. Also do take note the restaurants around the conventional centers are pricey so do Google where to dine.. we were charged 235HKD for 3 Roast Pork Buns... when a Singaporeans tell u its expensive it really is!😂
