đš Kitchen The restaurant, which primarily serves Chinese dishes, is famous for its packed lunchtime crowd, which is often a result of its popular chicken dishes and affordable prices. However, our overall experience was impacted by some questions during our two visits.
A crowded environment and a wait time:
Upon our arrival at Rose Kitchen for lunch, we noticed that the restaurant was crowded, leading to a wait for a table. In case there is a crowd or a line, customers should notify the staff at the door to receive a numbered token. Customers are contacted to be seated once a table becomes available.
Concerns regarding food quality and hygiene:
While we tasted variety of cuisine items (â˘Fried rice with a mix of shrimp and other ingredients + Enhanced Roast Pork and Fried Egg Rice was in the best tasteâ˘), we were dismayed to learn that the chicken in the noodle soup item was not properly cleaned and contained an unappetizing feather. Cutlery and tissue paper were placed on the table, but due to inadequate cleaning, there were leftovers and food debris present. Furthermore, the hygiene standards in the bathroom were subpar, with indications of cigarette residue and unpleasant odors.
Quick food delivery and payment options are available:
The prompt delivery of our food was appreciated despite the setbacks. Rose Kitchen has payment options that include cash, credit cards, and Octopus cards. Credit card payments are only accepted for bills that total $200 or more, otherwise payment (lesser amounts) must be made with cash or an Octopus card, or other acceptable cards.
Convenient location:
The restaurant's location near the main road and tram station is convenient for customers. Accessing the restaurant involves climbing stairs to the first floor.
Lift for the people with disabilities:
In the back of the restaurant, there is a lift that can be used to help people with disabilities and mobility challenges.
Staff Training:
To ensure the quality and cleanliness of food, staff training is required, with all staff members being well-trained in food safety and hygiene practices.
Customer Review & Feedback:
The lack of importance given to gathering and addressing customer feedback has been noticed. Despite the constant flow of customers, there are signs that we believe feedback may not have been adequately acknowledged or acted upon. In conclusion, Rose Kitchen may be an good place for your dining experience because of the attentive staffs, timely service, clean dining area compared to other eateries, convenient location, and delicious food at reasonable rates despite having certain problems...
Read moreKnow this restaurant for some time, but this is my very first visit. Arrived before busy lunch hours on a weekday and got a window seat as there were not too many customers.
Picked its signature roast chicken with fruit salad and a cup of Joe. I observed the waiters deliver roast chickens to other customers non-stop while I was waiting. Wow.
My roast chicken came in less than 10 minutes. It was a half chicken portion, but it was not small at all. It was freshly hot. I could see the steam when I cut off the wing and the thigh.
Look very juicy, too. Yummy, the skin was thin and crispy. It came with a side dish of Thai sweet and spicy sauce and some salt. The chicken was actually seasoned, but the Thai sauce added another taste. Even the breast was tender and smooth.
I could not finish it. The fruit salad was more HK style, and I finished it all. There are other choices other than salad, like fries, you may choose from.
It is more an HK style cafe, Cha Chaan Teng, so don't expect too much from the coffee.
The staff members were pretty keen to help.
The environment is bright with those large windows. It's relatively spacious. As this restaurant is located on the 1st floor. Don't mix up with the other cafe at ground level.
I left around lunch hours, and it was extremely busy. People were queuing up at the door.

Read moreI recently visited a Hong Kong-style fast food restaurant located in Wan Chai and would like to share my thoughts on it.
I arrived at the restaurant at around 7:00 PM and was pleased to find that there was no wait for a table. I ordered their specialty, which is a half-portion of fried chicken, and some fries. The fries were thick and had a wavy texture, but unfortunately, they were not hot enough.
On the other hand, the fried chicken was excellent. It was hot and crispy, with a thin and crunchy skin that was delightful to eat. The chicken meat was tender and juicy, with plenty of flavorful juices.
The restaurant's location on the first floor next to a tramway was convenient, and the atmosphere inside was casual and relaxed. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a quick and satisfying meal. Although the fries were not as hot as I would have liked, the delicious fried chicken more than made up for it. Additionally, it should be noted that the fried chicken was not spicy.
In conclusion, if you are a food lover who enjoys exploring different cuisines and restaurants, this Hong Kong-style fast food restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Their fried chicken is a must-try for anyone who loves crispy and...
