Lung Ngam Tse — Attraction in Hong Kong

One of the interesting temples you can visit in Tai O is the Lung Ngam Monastery, which is situated along the Sun Ki footpath on the east side of the village. Constructed in 1926, this is a Buddhist and Taoist temple with three interior halls and a nicely decorated green tiled facade.

Within the centre hall, you'll find traditional temple features including a large shrine setup deity figures and offerings made by worshippers. The interior is well kept, tidy and makes for an attractive and brief viewing. Outside the temple, you'll find a couple of incense burners. The monastery grounds entrance is through a traditional gate structure as well.

You can give Lung Hgam Monastery 5-10 minutes to view sufficiently. Then consider a quick walk south along the footpath to see the ancient temple called Wah...

This is a 2-storey building where there is a grid of small chambers on each floor. Ashes derived from cremation of one's ancestor can be stored here for a consideration.
