My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Park Lane Causeway Bay hotel for a week, and overall, our experience was a mix of positives and negatives. Let's start with the positives. The hotel's location in the heart of the city is truly unbeatable. Being centrally located made it incredibly convenient for us to explore and enjoy the vibrant surroundings. The hotel itself was an architectural gem, and our room was a testament to both beauty and cleanliness. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by a courteous staff member in the lobby who not only welcomed us with a smile but also graciously assisted us with our luggage, ensuring a smooth check-in process that was impressively fast. However, our stay wasn't without its challenges. Regrettably, we encountered a situation on the rooftop that left us deeply disheartened. Two staff members, one of whom was named Chloe, addressed us with unnecessary rudeness. Chloe, in particular, communicated in a tone that was not in line with the kind of hospitality we had come to expect from the hotel. We couldn't help but wonder if her reaction was influenced by the color of our skin, which is a matter that deeply concerns us. Our confusion grew when we noticed other guests on the rooftop who seemed to be enjoying their time there. When we inquired about this, Chloe abruptly informed us that access was restricted to residents only. We respectfully clarified that we were indeed guests at the hotel, but her response was unnecessarily dismissive and discourteous. To add to our discomfort, we couldn't help but notice her and her colleague laughing at our expense as we left the area. In closing, our stay at the Park Lane Causeway Bay hotel had its merits, including an excellent location, beautiful accommodations, and a genuinely welcoming arrival experience. However, the unfortunate encounter on the rooftop with Chloe and her colleague marred our overall impression. It is our sincere hope that the hotel takes such feedback seriously, addressing issues of staff behavior promptly and ensuring that all guests, regardless of their backgrounds, enjoy a consistently respectful and welcoming environment.

Stayed 5 nights at this 4-stars hotel as part of our month-long trip in Asia. *First the Positives: Conveniently located in the heart of CWB district, with SOGO mall, numerous dining options, a variety of shops (including IKEA and a 24-hr supermarket) all within a few minutes walk… Friendly & professional staff willing to help with your requests such as restaurant & foot massage bookings — kudos to Raymond @ hotel concierge, and the always joyful Sonny @ hotel front door! **Now the Bad: While the hotel lobby and most public corridors are relatively new and modern, our particular hotel room certainly is not… Despite paying for a room upgrade to Premium Deluxe room (which has nice partial water view of the harbour + green spaces in Victoria Park) on a higher 18th floor, we were surprised to find out that the interior furnishings are quite dated (especially the bathroom)… And worse, there are disturbingly loud construction noise daily coming from the floor right above our room! During check-in we were informed that we may hear ‘a bit of renovation noise’, but we never imagined such severity (see attached video) and disturbance to their hotel guests!! The front desk manager Henry did offer a token compensation for the trouble during check-out… However we simply cannot recommend Park Lane at this time, due to our honest & unfortunate experience in August 2024.

lovely hotel in a great location. good executive club offerings. The inhouse restaurant Playt only offered 25% dining discount instead of the usual 50% for 2 diners. The room was newly renovated and clean. We were offered an upgrade and received a lovely welcome gift as well as breakfast and access to the executive club as part of our platinum membership and this was really appreciated although we really couldn't avail of it as early on in our stay we suffered a bout of food poisoning after dining out at a recommended local restaurant specialising in Char Siu and suffered from severe gastro for 5 days and room bound. One thing that we noticed was that there was nothing on the in room dining that we could eat to try and regain our health. We managed to get some toast and camomile tea bags from the executive club thanks to Joey. She was wonderful and empathetic and kept enquiring how we were. She offered a doctor visit and advised us that congee could help and where we could get some. but we were too ill to leave the room. Being so ill and weak we really appreciated the sitting bench in the shower and the plumbed in filtered water as we were both too sick to leave the room. We were glad that we were in a very comfortable room with a nice view of the park and waterfront to while away our days.

The perfect hotel to stay in while visiting Hongkong! Located at a superb location near lots of restaurants, bakeries (Bakehouse, Yamazaki) supermarkets and nightlife, also close to the Causeway Bay MTR station. There are lots of convenience stores nearby, and 2 major 24hr supermarkets— Don Don Donki and Wellcome. Tons of good food within walking distance too, recommend Little Bao, Tong Fu Dim, Ba Fang Dumpling. The room is clean, well-furnished and renovated, with great bathrooms too. The beds are comfortable, but the highway and streets outside are a little noisy at night. There isn’t a pool but the gym is fantastic, it’s huge, has a steam room and the toilet is fantastic. Must check it out! Breakfast buffet isn’t the widest variety but they have solid dimsum (especially the Shanghai Pan Fried Bao with Zhejiang Vinegar) and it’s good enough! The breakfast restaurant is really pretty, great views and the space is luxurious and comfortable. Overall can’t ask for more, this is the perfect hotel to stay in to explore all of HK, the location is 10/10 at the heart of Causeway Bay!! Location 10/10 Rooms 10/10 Gym 10/10 Breakfast buffet 8.5/10 Staff 10/10

Overall, a 3 (maybe 2.5)… the staff made it a 3 for me.. they are very nice, housekeeping team… the ladies are so sweet, always checking to make sure we are OK. The location is very convenient but so are other hotels we stayed in HK or Kowloon side before. However, the room itself is so dated that knocks down the hotel experience… and truly felt like this is a “best western”…. as we can’t help but compare to the hotels we stayed in Seoul… I thought Park Lane is part of the Marriott Bonvoy family so my expectation was high. Complete let down for sure upon seeing the room… in its current state. The bathroom is so neglected that my kids even mentioned how it’s not as nice as the RYSE Hotel in Seoul (which is also part of the Marriott Bonvoy brand). The tub is peeling, the shower head malfunctions, sprays everywhere… the toilet paper is in an awkward position… the stains just added years to this hotel. We will most likely not book this hotel again… had it not been for our friends who insisted on The Park Lane… we would have booked elsewhere for sure. So make your own informed decision.
