Historical Macau is on full display at Mount Fortress (Fortaleza), and the Ruins of St. Paul. These two sites were the epicenter of religious and political/military power in Portugal's control of Macau.
The fort is in fine condition and there is a nice view of the city from the top.
The Macau Historical Museum is under the fort, and it excellent as well.
The cathedral ruins are the symbol of Macau and the stone monumental facade is still impressive and imposing.
Everything is free except entrance to the Museum.

It is a great place to stroll on a sunny and warm day and take on the views from the city.
