The hotel is located in a small lane and taxi can't go in, the driver didn't know the hotel and couldn't find it, he dropped me off nearby and I had to ask around and it took me 15 mins to walk and found it.The room is small and with moldy smells when opening the door, it took a while to go off after turning on the Aircon, the toilet size is Ok and clean, the bed is comfortable for me, the window view can see opposite houses about 3m away only. The wall socket is similar to Hong Kong UK 3-Pin type but the Kettle and Hairdryer are China's Plug, so need adapter and you can borrow it from the Reception.I wonder why they put a flower pot under the Hanging clothes area? It may easily fall down when I hang my clothes but luckily it's glued so no problem. The surrounding has many local foods and shops and Shopping Mall nearby.Overall, this is the first time I stayed in a small hotel hide in a small lane and Taxi can't reach it, I check-out next day is a rainy morning, I have to pull a big luggage with a gift items bag and walk under the rain for 50m to wait for a Taxi at roadside, luckily bought a small umbrella with me but still half wet when getting on...
Read moreHad a short stay here recently. Hotel is in a great location, with lots of shops and a main shopping street within 1 minute walk out the front door. One thing to highlight is that there was no signage outside or in reception that said 'The Lotus House'. I had walked down the street and couldn't find the place, so actually just popped in here to ask the receptionist if they knew where it was. If I recall correctly, there is a sign on the wall inside that says Art of Macau, so look for that and you're in the correct place. The room was a good size. Facilities were lacking - kettle in the room had a plug that doesn't even fit into the same type of plug socket in the room, fridge was not cold, no hooks to hang towels in the bathroom, wifi kept cutting out, the door didn't block out sound so you could hear people on the corridor and on the last day I was woken up by the person in the next rooms alarm going off.OK for a one night...
Read moreThis hotel is located close to tourist attractions. However, during our stay in a non-smoking room. We could still smell cigarette odor. We shared this information to the receptionist, but received ridiculous reply. He told us that they have placed warning signs for tourists, but have no way to enforce their nonsmoking policy. He didn’t even try to figure out which resident is smoking, and fine them MOP 1500 according to the hotel policy. He told us our option is to add 100 MOP to upgrade our room, but he doesn’t guarantee that the cigarette odor will not be present in upgraded room either. The hotel clearly lacks in taking responsibilities.
At the end, we decided to cut our stay short (from 3 nights to 2 nights) and get a refund for the third night. Worst part is they told us that they wouldn’t be able to refund us for the third night, even if we check-out and don’t stay on the...
