Amazing track, great quali and race action. There are a range of independent food truck options around the circuit and bars. You can also bring food to the circuit. The Monster zone was lots of fun with Motocross and skateboarders. Heineken terrace was also good for DJ's/watching FP on the screen. Great fan zone action all around. Be prepared for the weather, we were in waterproof jacket and trousers the whole day on race day and saw so many people walking about like little sad sacks drenched in their vest tops and shorts/white trousers.... The vast majority of stands are not covered and you will not find shelter from the rain or the mud. Make the race more enjoyable and bring a rain jacket at least. Bring sunscreen too, it was really sunny at times on quali day. We sat in grandstand 11, section 3 and had amazing views of turns 1 & 2 and re entry from the pits. Lot and lots of action happened in front of us, highly recommend this area. See the videos for the view. This is the best track i've been too so far but it still had it's issues. The metro home is a complete disaster, no signage, no direction from staff etc. Please look up your best way to walk home before you even go. We saw the huge mass of people not moving outside the metro station and immediately made the decision to walk. So happy we did. We walked to the right and up over Jacques Cartier bridge. Also the bleachers at the grandstand are VERY cramped, it is such a hassle to get out for a drink/to go to the toilet when the stands are full. We have never had this issue at any other track. Our last race was Texas in 2022 and their bleachers had lots of room in comparison.

2025 F1 Gran Prix. This is a safety disaster in the waiting room. Some positives of the race: 1. Weather. 2. Arriving to the event from Montreal near Latin Quarter was not that bad. Took the metro for $21.00 —3 day pass—and changed at Berri station to the island. Crowds were reasonable and lines moved decently. We went Friday, Sat and Sun and average 1:15 hr one way. Line to enter was organized. Bag check and entering venue was straightforward. NOW HELL UNLEASHED ITS FURY. Getting to grand stands was unsafe. People shoulder to shoulder trying to get to their seats. Grand stand bench seating was so uncomfortable. Moving from the grandstand to fan zone unsafe. People are packed. You can barely move. Exiting the venue at the end of the day is a death trap. If a security breach had occurred or an infrastructure mishap had occurred you would have experienced crowd crushing. Leaving the grand stand to exit one must walk on metal scaffolding walkway which leads to food area with people lined up to order food. So you walk through the line of people ordering food to exit. MORE HELL. Two narrow exit points to walk to the metro. You have to go over a bridgeway that is a choke point. People shoulder to shoulder. METRO HELL. Over 350K people attended this event and one metro station to exit. It was so disorganized. My son and girlfriend walked the track post race. They closed the track so you couldn’t make a loop. People entered the track and then had to turn around to exit. So you have thousands of people wanting to enter and exit the track at 1 access point. Son said cops were arresting people trying to jump the fence to escape the crowded track. Son waited off the side until it calmed down. They arrived 2.5 hours after race ended. This race should be called Canadian Grand Prix Try To Survive. NEVER AGAIN.

Just finished weekend at F1 race in Montreal. Took my sons , they have never been to Montreal and one was celebrating 40 birthday ! We had great time watching the F1 Academy race (s) and the F1 . We sat in an area called terrace 34, nice patio area, tables etc to sit at, bar and food service, washrooms. So there is a premium paid for such access . I am posting pic of the view from the front row of this terrace area. The issue I have is that other than the outer edges of the terrace area, you can’t sit at any of the center area tables and see anything other than the rescue equipment stored directly in front of the terrace. I understand they have to put it somewhere to access the track and collisions etc that might occur. The solution is simple. The terrace is a raised patio basically, off the ground about .60 of a meter. If they raised the floor height by another .5 of a meter, and then tiered it again at the 1/2 way distance to the back area another.3 of a meter everyone could see over all the equipment . Then maybe the price for the tickets might be of fair value. They were not otherwise fair value. Everyone at the tables could be overheard complaining they couldn’t see much around the equipment. Other than the atmosphere in general at the race , it felt like a rip off!! Still I gave the generous rating because we made most of a bad situation. Second issue was the bar selection in the terrace area. Very limited compared to what was available in the concourse areas merely 20 meters away from terrace 34 entrance. Food selection also limited. I wouldn’t recommend anyone buy tickets in that area (unless site line issue is fixed) better to buy bleacher seats directly above the terrace , access to everything else is close !

Went for a F1 race. If you're into F1 get grandstand seats at this venue. The track is on a man made island and is completely flat. Being flat you aren't going to get a great view of a lot of the circuit at track level no matter where you are. We walked around and thought the best spot was near the start finish straight. This was cool, and you got to see all the pit stops, and could see a Megatron of what was happening on the rest of the circuit. We got there at 08:30 for the 14:00 race and were the 5th row of people back. Everyone decided to stand the whole time so my 5'1" wife didn't get to see a whole lot. With GA tickets you need to bring chairs and people fight for the best spots so I didn't want to leave our spots unattended. We took turns exploring the rest of the area, which was huge. The track is 2.7 miles long so there was a lot of thing going on around the track. Would have been more fun if we had assigned seats we didn't have to worry about someone else taking. They had a Martin Garrax concert after the race which was great. They did a good job of getting the 340,000 people into the subway to get out of the venue. The line was long but moved. Will go back for another F1 race.

The F1, Canadian Grand Prix, race circuit is located at park Jean Drapeau, former major of Montreal on Island Notre Dame, a man-made island in the St. Lawrence River most of which was originally built up for the Expo in 1967. In 1982, the circuit was renamed after hometown hero Gilles Villeneuve who won for Ferrari in 1978 when first Canadian Grand Prix was held, and fataly crashed on the Belgian Grand Prix track while practicing in May1982. His son Jacques Villeneuve won 1997 F1 world Championship, including stop at Belgian Grand Prix. The circuit is 4.4 km/lap, and can hold 100,000 spectators. Without race, the circuit is open to public, car, bike, rollerskating. The track divided into two sections, one is for cars, and the other for low speed mass. It's supposed for general public, family 👪 and kids to enjoy the cars free lanes, but some supper dressed professional looking cyclists are biking/racing like they are racing for world championship, these people should use car lanes as their biking speed is more than speed limit set for cars, so those using electric scooters. Leaving the bike lanes for family fun!!!

Experienced F1 for the first time and it was awesome. My only minor complaints were that the crowd control were not always well directed so it was chaotic , there werent enough garbages so there was trash littered everywhere and the portable toilets were out of toilet paper constantly. The grandstands are very crowded and the seating is similar to a school gymnasium seating so bring some sort of cushion along to sit on, you will be glad you did! They race rain or shine so bring along a hat to cover your head, sunscreen is a must and a poncho in case of rain. We enjoyed our experience but it was fairly expensive so we probably wouldn't go again.word of advice though.. but your tickets when they have sales, we bought ours for a valentines day special. (Buy one weekend package and get the second at half price) You can also bring food Including beer but make sure they are not glass containers and check their website for restrictions on coolers and such.
