Parque del Río is an outdoor Christmas lights area throughout the city, along the Río Medellín.
Different themes as Moana, Dumbo, Mickey, action heroes and other Disney characters. Street vendors and performers are throughout the area. You can find people singing for tips, different characters working throughout the evening (Edward Scissorhands, La Llorona, The Miner and many others).

They're nice, but, I miss the traditional lights that have covered the whole tour part of the river. Overall, nice. It's less crowded to go Monday to Thursday, non-holidays. Keep your personal belongings near you and preferibly in front of you, as with so many people taking the tour, there are some hazards related to pickpocketing, but security was pretty good. Better safe than sorry. Read moreGreat little green space in the middle of the city, providing peace and quiet from the busy traffic, the residential streets in Laureles to the west and the offices in the east. We needed this at the end of our week-long first visit to Colombia this spring. Great respite and relaxation amidst the local families after attraction visits. Not many tourist looks or traps. Small river walk, compared to San Antonio or our hometown Richmond.
