I had breakfast (well... more like brunch, was almost noon 🤭) at Las Veganas in Medellín, and it was bomb 🔥. I loved the Calentado Paisa, a dish featuring a rice and bean blend which took me back home, served with scrambled tofu and an arepa. The arepa itself is kinda plain, but slap the other stuff on top, and it’s chef’s kiss. Being extra, I added avocado and a vegan chorizo, and yeah, no regrets.
It comes with a drink, so I went for the hot chocolate. Solid choice. 👍😋 And the price? Crazy good. Less than $5 without extras, like $6 with, and it was so much food. Can’t beat that. 🤑
Also had the carrot-coconut cake, and unlike a lot of vegan cakes that crumble apart, this one was moist and held together perfectly. Respect. 💯
Service was great, plenty of space, some outdoor seating too. 👍😎 If you’re in the area, vegan or not, don’t sleep on...

Overall Appearance : 4/10 -too messy and hard to eat without getting fingers dripping with sauce
Bun: 2/10 -over-toasted and too thin
Meat: 4/10 -too fibery and dry; no juicy, “meaty” texture; flavor was acceptable
Vegetables: 5/10 -the coleslaw was amazing; but the pickles tasted a little strange
-Sauces: 6/10 they were good but not amazing
We were attended very well; however the burgers did not match our expectations. The fruit juice had a watery flavor and no sweetener, even though we were later informed that the juice could have been sweetened for us, upon request. The roasted potato fries were good, they just didn’t have ketchup and were very few in quantity. At least, I left full because my boyfriend didn’t finish his burger 🤭and we did receive a discount for our...
Read moreHad a day in the park and got a bit hungry. This cute, quiet, family owned restaurant rests on a quiet street. They were quick to give me a seat and they spoke english and spanish. They have a buffet lunch where you choose a rice, and some sides and a few other dishes plus a soup. I will say, it was a lot of food for such a little price. The only thing I didn’t like was that I was not offered an actual menu with other dishes to try, it was just the buffet. Plus I got to choose a juice as well. It’s a quick, cheap bite and the food is good, I would like to come back to try some other dishes. They also sell a few vegan items to cook...
