Manuel Antonio National Park is an absolute gem, and my experience was elevated by the incredible guide, Andrés. This park is a true paradise – the lush rainforest, pristine beaches, and abundant wildlife make it a must-visit destination. But what truly made my visit unforgettable was Andrés' knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine love for the park.
Andrés went above and beyond to make sure our group had an exceptional experience. His expertise in identifying various plant and animal species was truly impressive, and he eagerly shared fascinating facts and stories about the park's biodiversity. As we hiked through the trails, Andrés pointed out hidden treasures and unique features that we would have otherwise missed. His keen eye for spotting wildlife allowed us to encounter monkeys, sloths, colorful birds, and other incredible creatures in their natural habitat.
Not only was Andrés incredibly knowledgeable about the park, but he was also a fantastic storyteller. His narratives about the park's history, conservation efforts, and the importance of protecting our natural treasures were captivating and inspiring. He made the experience educational, entertaining, and filled with a genuine sense of wonder.
Andrés' dedication to ensuring that visitors have a memorable time was evident throughout the tour. He answered all our questions patiently, ensuring that we left with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the park. His passion for preserving the park's beauty and wildlife was infectious, and it encouraged us to be mindful and responsible environmental stewards.
I can confidently say that Andrés truly enhanced my experience at Manuel Antonio National Park. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and friendly demeanor made the tour enjoyable and memorable for our group. I highly recommend visiting the park and having the privilege of being guided by Andrés for an unforgettable...
Read moreREVIEW FOR A GUIDED TOUR
This was one of the best days I had in Costa Rica so far! A huge thank you goes out to Beatriz (aka Queen B).
Before I review this Guided Tour I wanna share all assumptions I had before:
I must admit I only booked a guided tour because there was no more single tickets for the early morning available. With a guide it was. And I am very very happy about this situation because I wouldn’t have experienced what I just experienced today. I love wild life. And I had tears in my eyes because I have seen so many beautiful animals today.
Everything was very well organised. I received an email before the big day with the name of my guide and a photo. Wow! I love that customer friendly approach.
Everything was on time, and the tour took much longer than I expected. My guide works in the park for 7 years and she was excited about telling us about the animals as she just started working there yesterday.
Yes, the park was crowded but since we just focussed on our group, it was absolutely fine. I think it depends on the guide you get. (Mine is working directly for the park - Ask for Beatrix).
I also liked the fact that my guide always teached us how to protect wild life in Costa Rica. Costa Rica is well known for their flora & fauna and I love the fact that Costa-Rican people take good care of it.
Beatriz took amazing pictures via phone and telescope. All photos were shared after! It has National Geographic quality! I swear.
Today I made memories I will never forget! Thank you Beatrix! You...
Read moreThe tour was exactly as described. There is a lot of bio diversity at this National Park and the Government of Costa Rica is taking strict measures to conserve it. At the meeting point, you are immediately welcomed with coffee. I would recommend the juices the restaurant offers, they are exotic, sweet and energizing. The boat departed on time, but it took a solid 90 minutes to get to the destination, not 45 minutes as advertised. The captain was experienced and the ocean was pretty flat, but I didn't like that he looked at his phone several times while riding the waves. There was no danger, but it seemed unprofessional. The guide, Carlos, took care of us with enthusiasm and you could tell he really loves his work. The walk was muddy, but it's to be expected in the rain forest in August! BRING HIKING SHOES!!!!** Sandals are not proper footwear in the jungle, you'll hurt yourself. We saw: macaws, koatis, anteater, spider monkeys, sloths, blue throat lizard, exotic spiders, falcon, toucans, tapir tracks, crabs, snails and birds I can't even name, as well as a surprise Jurassic Park like feature (!). The lunch was filling and we didn't get hungry until 6-7 pm. There is no swimming at the beach. You will get hot and sweaty. Water in provided. On the way back, we saw a baby whale. The captain might make some stops to drop off or pick up locals. It's all very quick and it brings a special flavor. There's free coffee when you get back. PAY CASH AND IN COLONESIT'S CHEAPER** Still, it feels a bit expansive, but the boat ride alone...
